Pretty much. I was being a little excessive and avant-garde w/ my description of Ride to Hell's sex scenes. The Room was mostly just awkward b/c of the amount and duration of the sex scenes, but the first sex scene where it looks like he's boning her in the belly was hilarious.

Fair enough. I'd say a good game must not be ashamed of showing whatever it needs, regardless of the possibility of discomforting someone.

I would find it insulting if, after my character sticked a blade through someone's chest, butterflies and rainbows came out instead of blood. All the same, if the game shows my character taking a bath, I expect for her to do it naked, and so on.  Do you find this acceptable? youtu.be/calB_AZKgIE

Meh. It did seem impractical, yes. I didn't dwell on it and I certainly didn't "find it insulting."

My point remains,  if bioware doesn't want to add nudity in their games for whatever reason,  so be it. There are a small number of posters demanding it, because maturity. It bothers me more than it probably should.

Until we get a game engine that is capable of convincingly depicting physical interaction between two soft objects, I'd rather get a kiss and a fade to black. Even the kisses in DA2 made me wince; I wished they were rendered from a larger distance, so I could at least pretend that Fenris was indeed kissing my Hawke, and not clipping his face into hers with very questionable mouth alignment. I'm not even going to talk about DA:O and the cringeworthy underwear pseudo-sex scenes. *shudders*

Once there is an engine that supports two soft objects interacting in other ways than merciless clipping, I'll still prefer more than less being left to the imagination. I guarantee dozens of years will pass until a game engine can render a love scene which looks better than what my own mind (with a little suggestion) can produce.

The obvious compromise is Kaiden modeling some boxers while Garrus does a voice over.
