I don't think I've ever expected much from the love scenes depicted in video games.
And consequently, I've never been disappointed.
Dragon age 2's cloth humping had enough friction to set the house on fire.

I didn't laugh, I was too busy praying nobody would walk into the room while that was on the screen.DragonRacer wrote...
I'm fine with a simple ME1 fade to black or something tasteful like DA2. DA:O, while it had some pretty cool romances, was made veeeeeeeeery awkward with the horrible underwear wrestling scenes.
I imagine laughter was probably not quite the reaction the animation team was going for with their audience, poor dears, but that's kinda what it was.

I don't care either way, but I've always thought it's funny how it's perfectly acceptable to shoot, kill and mutilate people in all kinds of ways in a video game but when it's time for snu snu all of a sudden it's too "edgy" and a game's rating will become AO and risk not being carried by most major retailers. (see GTA San Andreas)

Your mother walks in and sees you looking at Liara's butt.

My two cents: I would like the romance scenes to generally be better in games. I'm not "demanding" to see things because I'm immature; I would like emotional romance scenes to be included because it is realistic and it is a moment I worked towards in the game. I want my character to become attached to another character as I have and I want to see how their relationship will work out. I don't demand nudity, I demand realism. Using quick fade outs and cut offs to cover up the obvious takes away from the immersion that the rest of the game works hard to create.

the underwear made it a bit ridiculous in my opinion, I think ME1 sex scenes were done the best.
