Fade to black or Mass Effect 1 scenes. No half-measures.

I don't think it's fair to criticize Bioware about this when in ME1, the scenes rustled so much jimmies that the soccer moms were trying to crucify the game without every playing it. I think they can be done more tasteful, sure, I think the Liara scene in ME3 was good. I also would not mind a fade to black either.

I would actually prefer the LI to say

" I love you but I don't want to have sex. Ever. Not with you. Alistair. The Warden. Hawke. Anyone. I'm going to stay a virign for the rest of my life" 

over the "fade to black" type of romance scene.

The fade to black is not romantic enough that putting it there just ruins the whole point of the "romance scene".

I don't want to leave most of it to speculation, imagination, or mod-conjuring perverts to whip me a mod, when a romance scene happens. For all we know, they could just be playing monopoly during that fade to black scene. In fact, if enough people claim they do play monopoly during the "fade to black", it might just be seen as truth lol.

Anyways, I also don't want a "Witcher" feel. It's alright for that game, because of its theme and feel, but it won't feel right for DA. Maybe half-way to a Witcher sex scene. Nothing more.

ME3 Liara is good enough. Or perhaps put nudity where it should be. If they should be nude - as in they're having sex - then they should be nude.

Not full-blown t*tty scene or something. Maybe just a little scene where someone drops their panties but the camera is on the floor so you just see the panties dropping down ( can't believe I just said that). The most nudity they should only show is a "less than 5 second butt flash" or a sideboob. That's it.


One last thing. In the off-chance (high chance) that you guys are going to mess up the sex scenes. Please don't make body models like Isabela's or Bethany's or Miranda's to taunt us.

I mean, I'd like to believe that I'm no sex-crazed gamer, but the round bewbs and cleavages and the snuggled up tights can get a bit "distracting" every now and then.

Yes and No.

Sebastian was limited by his vows. Although he could break that vow easily, it still influenced his decision of not sleeping with Hawke. What I was pointing out was more of a unrestricted choice - you freely choose to not have sex. Ever

I just want the male love interests to have a shirtless model made for them (unlike Fenris and Thane) and I want the camera to not spend the majority of the time lingering on the woman's body in the scene (unlike Mass Effect).

I would rather we not act so silly. I would rather Bioware makes the scenes Bioware wants to make.

Who's acting silly? The title of the thread is a fairly reasonable suggestion.
Plus the other guy said he didn't see anything that would turn aspects of the game PG - and there isn't .

Bioware does what Bioware wants. To an extent. We say things, and they decide whether or not to take our advice. We're certainly not forcing them to do anything - not that we can anyway.

Would love ME1 style, that had the mood, lighting and style for romance yes, romance.

Not a big fan of the fade to black, but I wouldn't mind having some make out stuff, like DA2 or ME2/3 and then seeing a door close, or a tent flap falling down or ANYTHING other than sex in underwear.

I would rather the scene be romantic than sex. Sex is not always the culmination or start of a romance. I like to imagine the underwear as mere censorship and they are not there. Like, at all.

This isn't true, for me at any rate. I am a female who really doesn't desire to see a pair, but I understand that they exist and kind of show during sex. If I could just get several really romantic scenes I would be happy; I don't necessarily demand to see characters slamming like Barbie dolls. To me, maturity doesn't equal raunchy sex scenes or covering everything up and pretending it doesn't exist.

I know, I just put that in there because it fit what people are complaining about. Imagine the underwear is not there, and the things don't have meaning in the story.
Simple solution to a simple problem.

Or, simply no sex scene at all.

The middle ground doesn't signal maturity either. Intelligently written dialogue before and after the scene, however, does.

The issue of whether or not to show nudity is unimportant. The notion that nudity is required just because "we're not kids" is silly. As is the suggestion that its absence will ruin our immersion. That is why posters are dismissive and say "bewbs!"
