Anyway, the people which "have issues" with nudity in a game that contains mass murdering, beheadings, blood explosions and all kinds of violent killings, are demonstrating a very twisted and hypocritical sense of morality and I don't think the game should cater to them.

I don't think anyone is objecting to nudity on any moral or decency grounds. We're objecting to the notion that sex/nudity is necessary to the game's quality or "maturity."

Sex and Nudity isn't necessary when it comes to the overall game, but it does count in romances and relationships  - which the game does have.

The way I see it there are three choices:

1. Don't do sex scenes at all. Keep the relationship "physical contact" free like we use to do with our elementary school sweethearts.

2. Do it right, for both the dialogues in the relationships, and the romance scenes.

3. Eliminate everything - the relationships and the sex. No romances. Just a good ol' RPG with dragons.

That's it. No half measures.

I find all three options acceptable. A nice variant on Option 1 would be to imply that characters had sex through dialogue.

I also think that implied nudity and fade to black are acceptable half measures. Bioware, it seems, has settled on implied nudity.

I am not fine with option 3 as I very much enjoy the romances, personal preference.

As for options one and two:

1.  I am fine with.  I would prefer special camera angles, but whatever.

2.  I am also fine with, provided the scenes that are depicted are explicit for both males and females.  Go for it!

But as far as Bioware is considered. I think that they should do whatever it is that they feel like doing.  No matter what they do in this instance, it will have no bearing on my personal enjoyment of the game, so all the power to them!

Well I too am fond of the romances in the game.

To be honest, Option 2 or 3 are the only ones I would go for.

Option 1 is just too much compromise. In fact, I only placed it there to appease the anti-nudity group in these kinds of threads, because let's be honest, the anti group rules threads like these.

I am not anti-nudity but I am equal opportunity nudity.  I f they are going to include female nudity, I feel they should include male nudity as well.

As I am disinclined to believe that they will include male nudity, I am of the belief that tasteful camera angles would be the best option.

If fine with nudity. I actually prefer nudity but it wouldn't bother me if DA:I did not feature this.

However with little known about support for the modding community which will likely come months after release if it comes at all I would advice making nudity an option as there are those who strongly agree that nudity should be in DA.
The option to turn nudity on or off appeases both groups? Those against it and those for?

Well when it comes to negotiations its best that both parties leave feeling amicable.

Well by nudity, I don't mean "real" nudity.  I mean improved ME1 nudity.  Definitely not DA2 style.

I don't expect Bioware to turn this to Witcher. But I don't want a lot of things left to imagination or speculation. So yes on the tasteful camera angles and improved length, no on dry humping, no on fade to black.

The on/off nudity is a good idea.  Maybe when it's turned on, there would be underwear lol.

I've head it was left out for performance reasons, you know, too many polygons and the scene is going to be choppy. ;)

Don't care fade to black, show heavy petting or a full sex scene. But please don't treat us like children.

When people are post coital, the first thing they don't do is rush to put their underwear on. At least, put them in a bed with the covers over them.

It's a good thing you're here to tell us how everyone behaves after sex.

I thought that was your job, to tell how everyone should behave.

I'm kind of neutral on this.

I'd be fine with fade-to-black or a fairly steamy scene. Either way my Inquisitor wins.

That's totally true because boob mechanics = easy

penis mechanics = hard

Its simple physics really.

Maybe not here, but surely has been done, like when Mass Effect 1 came out... And after that, we started getting atrocities such as DAO's lingerie sex. ¿Coincidence?

Fair enough. I'd say a good game must not be ashamed of showing whatever it needs, regardless of the possibility of discomforting someone.

I would find it insulting if, after my character sticked a blade through someone's chest, butterflies and rainbows came out instead of blood. All the same, if the game shows my character taking a bath, I expect for her to do it naked, and so on.  Do you find this acceptable? youtu.be/calB_AZKgIE

Yeah. I remember pre dragon age and mass effect. I didn't really get the concept of romance and sex scene's in games. Many times when I play JRPG's I get pissed with the whole "childhood friends" and " it's so embarrassing" when the characters are in their 20's. The whole lack and denial of sexual relationships. Sure it's a cultural thing in that case.

But in the case of ME and DA, it's done right. When I played these games, I found myself investing much more in the romance subplots than I thought. Sure the sex scenes in DAO are a little akward, with the grinding and underwear. DA 2 did good with some of the scenes.
I Think they did a good job with Shep's and Liara's sex scene in ME3.
Cause she I naked, but the shadows do a good job.

So, I think sex has a place in games, if done right. If it is artistic and beautiful. If it is just a selling point and almost vulgar and tasteless, I don't like it. Cause romance and sex can be a truly beautiful thing.
And I think Bioware has gotten this right. And it is a M rated game, so people know.
I hope they don't remove it, or just fade to black. Do them like before, tasteful, romantic and breathtaking.

I thought the bath and shower scenes for the women in Mass Effect were stupid. Who would take a shower in their bra? I also thought it was dumb for Samantha to get in Shepard's bath in the citadel dlc with her bra on.

Umm..well, as long it isn't awkward.  I don't see the point in whabam! full body nudity, but creative angles are cool.  So yeah, my opinion extends to "keep it romantic".

Oh my gosh, I google searched "shower with bra" for curiosity's sake, and lo and behold! I got a hit from the Ashley thread on this site.  Yeah yeah, she wasn't in a shower.  But still. Teehee~

Yeah, those were a little interesting, to say the least. God, if only we could have a shower scene with Kaidan.:wub:

If you thought those were bad, you should see the sex scenes for Ride to Hell: Retribution.

I heard how terrible that game was. I do not want to know what the sex scenes looked like.

"Cooper, have you ever played Mass Effect?"  silly laugh "No."  She says no like being asked if she played the game she's talking about is a silly question.  Love it.

At first I was  and then i was:huh: and last

@Saslic, I'm almost tempted to google "shower with bra" lol!

I'm just going to say it. I think Samantha Traynor has some nasty funky smelling mildew bras. Image IPB lol!

@Eluvianix, If there is any character who should give us a shower scene it is Mr. Alenko. If it's followed by a Biotic love scene. I'm all over it! Image IPB

@Draken, wasn't she asking for soap?

Which was the correct decision.
