When silver gets boring/too easy I guess. I had some badass friends, who carried me through gold first and helped me improve get comfortable with everything fast. Imo best way to improve is to play a lot with much better players and learn from them. I suggest you add some BSNers for your platfrom, most are good or and know a lot of stuff about this game.

No point waiting . We don't know how long the servers will run for so jump in while you can.

The biggest problem I see with the OP's manifest is a complete lack of AP mods for any guns, that will make a big difference on gold vs armoured foes and guardians.

Unless he uses a non-hitscan weapon such as that kishock I he has.:wizard:

Problem with that, the kishock is hard to use on moving foes, especially off-host.

Unless he combines it with sabotage on that FQI he's unlocked, to prevent them from moving.:wizard:

Best build I could make with the available unlocks:
kalence.drupalgardens.com/me3-builder#54!5613115!4318125!..P1!E.EAG

Cloak, sabotage, shoot.  Rince and repeat.  Practice on a few silver games first to get a feel for the kishocks unique feel.

The sticky grenades are hard to use, so I suggest temporarily putting the points in fitness to stay alive.

When you get good at gold, you won't need the points in fitness, so put them back into the stickys.

OP, you have what I think is one of the best kits for someone with lousy weapons: the Asari Huntress. Spec her 66653, and cloak, DC, cloak, warp. Over and over. Even without a decent gun to shoot between cooldowns, and even without any power amps or gear, you can deal out respectable damage that way on gold. Reapers are the best faction for that approach in my opinion.

OP, you're ready for gold as soon as you're able to work with your teammates. Even if you're not great at the game, a few consumables and teamwork can make up for that. The fastest way to get good at gold is to play it.

Good idea.

He even has an acolyte to bypass the dark channels weakness to shields.

this is probably the best advice.  If you want to experience everything there is (platinum, lvl x URs, etc.) you better hurry up.

I'll be the lone voice to say, it's your game, OP. Play Gold whenever you feel up to it. However, always remember you might get kicked. If that happens, try again. If you crash and burn, then try again. Keep playing Gold and it becomes easier.

And, no, I'm not saying that because I expect the servers to be "shut down". I doubt that's going to happen for quite a long time.

You have a salarian infiltrator and an alliance infiltration unit. You should be fine to run either of those kits at level 20 with one of your better weapons for them and play smart.
Use cover, right hand advantage, don't wander off alone, basic stuff. Mostly it will just become simpler with time. Starting off using stronger kits helps with the growing pains, but I'd expect to go down quite a bit at first.

What's tinfoil?

BTW OP don't worry about soloing, I'm not sure if the quoted post was serious or not (don't think it was) but soloing is not necessary in order to verify that you can play gold or even platinum.

You should definitely be able to solo gold before you play gold. These are facts.

Don't take it too seriously. You definitely don't have to be able to solo gold before you play gold. There are many good and experienced players out there willing to carry you ;). The majority of PS3 People are nice fellows and good teamplayers - and I pugged a lot of gold & platinum games...

The guys got an AIU and a Salarian Infiltrator with Scorpion 1 and Talon 1, hell even the mantis X is a GTG for gold sign.

There's always a spot open in my rio/reapers/platinum box of shame lobby. We actually need a shild boost volus in there to make it happen.

If you have friends, who are good at gold, then go to gold.

If not and you want to play gold PUG-games, then wait until silver gets boring.

Agreed, have you all seen some of the guns and kits OP has?

Acolyte, GPS, Talon, Venom, Scorpion (all but the Talon won't suffer from missing armour piercing mods)

(If worried about Armour piercing, use the Executioner)

And some of the characters?

Fury, Bat Slasher, Geth Trooper, Vorcha sent, Huntress, AIU, SI, QFI

Forget shield boosting, you have a veritable pain-train ready for deployment.

Out of those the Fury, Geth trooper, Bat Slasher and Vorcha Sent can basically go naked into battle and still do extremely well.
