State of Decay and The Wolf Among Us are pretty groovy.

Ok and?

Thus I think it shouldn't have been nominated, thus making me question the point of these awards.

If you check the other categories, you'll see how bland the rest of the nominations are aswell, so no surprise here. ^^

Tiny Tina wins for me, Blood Dragon is a standalone expansion, good night y'all!

Oh yeah, Thy Wolf Among Thee could've been nominated. Unfortunately, it being a wholly standalone series probably messes that up. Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is still considered part of that overarching Far Cry 3 game. It's still considered an addition. The Wolf Among Us isn't an addition to anything. It's just a regular game. That could be what separates that DLC from the Blood Dragon DLC. I don't know. I don't care to know the VGAs criteria for DLC.

Neither do I, Reezy. I'm just blabbering, though I do think the circumstances with Blood Dragon are curious.

if it wasn't the last ever ME3 DLC, it'd get my vote.

but since it is, HELL NO.

What kind of logic is that?

I prefer "Terminator" over "Friends".

as the last ever ME3 DLC it was godawful, especially considering how much improvement the game's finale mission needed. instead we got a stupid mission with a terribly lame "twist" and a party that goes for far too long.......as if Shepard and co didn't have more important things to do.

as second-to-last DLC, it would've been great. a bit of light hearted content before the Big Bang, an expanded Earth mission. but instead of the Big Bang, we got a hollow sneaky fart.

That is complete BS - yes, it's fun to play and happy but it's nothing but fanservice and injokes.

I dunno, I loved Citadel for exactly those reasons. For me, It was a lighthearted and pretty awesome way to finish the whole thing off. I voted for it.

Mark my words:
This award will be reduced to Blood Dragon vs Citadel and from there, to Dinosaurs with laser eyes vs Wrex.

Yes. Essentially it's an official piece of interactive Machinima and while it was enjoyable and heartwarming it's just a little hard to see this one get too much praise.

I actually voted for it, but I fear other developers are gonna go "yup, fanservice it is then" if they see this winning. It's a very cheap way to make DLC and it wouldn't have happened if fans weren't angry over ME3 ending and all that. It's passable but I hope it's the last we see of that kind.

That still doesn't make since. You hate Citadel for reasons that aren't Citadel's fault?

The main thing I don't like about the awards setup is that they are including games that have just been released a day or so ago and can use that new relase hype to influence voting.

I've always felt there should be a grace period between game releases and award shows so people will look at the games more impartially.

Also again Blood Dragon may be controversial since it doesn't rely on a main game to play like the others, however at the same time it is a digital download.  But again the game has been confirmed to be getting a retail release so........

I'm being completely serious when I say that Citadel is probably my favourite mission in the entire series, and that the games would have overall been much better had they been in that vein all along.

Anyway, I really like all of the nominations here (although I'm confused as to why they'd pick The Knife of Dunwall over The Brigmore Witches, and how Blood Dragon counts as DLC when it's a standalone title) so any of them winning is alright with me.

The DLC is so great because Mass Effect is always about war and misery. It was nice to see the the crew get some down time. It's like that episode of the justice league where the heroes chill out and enjoy christmas. I wish there was shore leave in ME2.

"Time to take the fight to the Illusive Man!"

"Nah sorry Shep, let's go play in the casino instead."

Love it.

Even if releases are recent, the time-window in which they are reviewed and those reviews can be used to get grip on numbers is small.

And besides that, I don´t remember Bioshock Infinite or other titles on those lists beeing released just a week ago.

As much as I loved Citadel, Blood Dragon probably has this in the bag. It's funny how all of these DLC except for Knife of Dunwall have basically the same premise: take the existing game, but make it silly (or sillier in Borderlands' case).
