Tali and Garrus romance

As for waifu wars, a lot of true things have been said here, let me say anything about the other side of the coin. Writing whole essays about how you hate certain characters and enjoy killing them + bashing them in every thread possible isn't any less creepy and retarded. And honestly, If you see that people react sensitive about it, then why the **** do you feel the need to aggravate them?

It's a great thing, I wish Liara and Kaidan had as much luck. Kaidan did say he preffered adventerous women but I get the sensation that Liara is 100% indifferent towards Alenko. And for some reason she spent two games thinking she and Shepard were an item despite that I took every opportunity to say no to her passes. I think that Kaidan x Liara is a bit of a lost cause.
Forever Alenko, I guess.
Yeah, they needed to do something like that for Liara. She's weird if you don't romance her. It'd have made her a lot more likeable to me if I got even a small signal that she cared about other people like Shepard. They must be afraid it'll ****** off the same type of freaks who get mad that Garrus and Tali will hook up.

So the chain seems to be building.
Kaidan -> Liara -> Garrus -> Tali -> Shepard.
And then Shepards choice decides what happens to this chain. In my case, it was Shepard -> Miranda and therefore Garrus and Tali romanced. Either way Liara and Kaidan don't end up together and Wrex is busy siring real Krogan babies to care about anyone else.
I guess a gay Shepard could complete the chain into an evil pentagram, but that's just too high school. Ever heard how Tali reacts if you cheat on her with Kaidan? It's kind of weird.

Well, then you and Javik have something in common.StreetMagic wrote...
I don't care about any of the ME3 crew romances. They can all shag each other for all I care. Group sex in the cargo bay. I'll be feeding my fish. Or cutting my wrists.

I'm in the same situation as you. Whilst I've always been aware of BSN and lurked on it, I usually ignored discussions outside of the big plot or gameplay related ones like Cerberus or Class Builds. I never stepped into any of the character or romance related threads until summer 2012 and I now I wish I never had.StreetMagic wrote...
I like Garrus and Tali together. I don't romance them, so maybe that's part of it (no emotional investment in the subject, I guess?).
As for "Waifu" wars, I'm relatively new to BSN (I didn't start posting till this year). I was an oblivious gamer in my living room, who ignored what the larger community meant for years. Sometimes I wish I never discovered it. I liked it a couple of years ago when I could play these games without knowing who was the "canon" choice or popular or how other fans could affect the amount of content different characters got.

Agreed on the bolded hard.
I'm not fond of the Garrus Tali ship (though I love that tali gets over her crush on Shepard. Thank ra for that). But Liara always feels like she's carrying a torch and it makes things awkward.

<snip> just talk about the tali+garrus ship and post pics of them.
The problem is there is not much to talk about. Other than a little bit of friendly flirting in ME3 over the comm and on the Geth dreadnaught there isn't much to Tali and Garrus' romance.
It's more interesting to watch the Tali and Garrusmancers have a fit about it, honestly.

I like it too, like I said on the previous page I just about died laughing to first time I saw that scene in the main battery.TheJJBL wrote...
I liked it, especially that little scene where Garrus apologizes for the offensive remark about Quarians from ME1, it showed just how far they had both come and how much character development can happen.
I loved that line for the very reason you mentioned, but it's not exclusive to their romance. Garrus says it whether him and Tali are available to each other or not.

True, no matter what it shows that the two bring out the best in each other, be it freindship or romance.
On topic though, I do get quite a few laughs out of their diologue on the geth dreadnought as well, first time I heard tali's response to Garrus getting chocolate I got a huge smile and just thought "really, are they actually doing this?" in a good way of course
