Why is Tali exiled?

"You are hereby found guilty for treason against the quarian people and sentenced to exile. [,,,] Farewell, Tali'zorah vas Normandy."
I've looked at this part of the trailers a couple of times an every time asked myself: Why? Why should Tali, who was loyal to her people since ME, now suddenly betray the quarians. What could have happened?
I've two theories, both not very satisfying, as i have to say, but here they are:
1. Tali is exiled, because she wants to board the Normandy, thus leaving the Quarian fleet for some time, or even forever, since Shep is going to go on a suicide-mission. I assume at this point, Tali got herself a somewhat important position within the fleet, considering she got the Geth-Data from Shepard and her also taking into account her abilities as a technician. Therefore she'd be a great loss to the fleet, if she attends Shepard. However, there's no reason to exile her and made her being a loss regardless of the question whether she returns or not.
2. Tali revealed something to Shepard during their first encounter within ME2, that she shouldn't in the trailer, she seems to command a quarian squad, maybe even black ops. However, this is merely an assumption without any hard prove.
Greetings,
Ryu Kazuha

Couldn't you have at least waited for one legit post before you started derailing the thread?Dave of Canada wrote...

I think I actually heard the explanation for this somewhere, but I can't remember where. I believe it has to do with Shepard encountering her at the beginning of the game. Apparently she lets him leave with some important information and the rest of the quarians have an issue with that, perhaps because of his new association with Cerberus. If you have read Ascension you'll know what I mean.dtye wrote...
Honestly, I've pondered this as well. She seemed to be incredibly loyal to her people in ME1, so you would think that her helping to rid the galaxy of Saren and saving all organic life would be rewarded by mass approval. So, what did she do? Most likely it took place in ME1. Could it be that she didn't bring anything of importance back to her people? Possibly.

They could sell her to the Talimancers and buy a NEW planet!
I'm sure the geth would give them one just to get the image of shep and tali out of their heads

You have to understand that to most people Saren was merely a terrorist and the Reapers are still not publicly known. I doubt the Flotilla would praise her that much for helping stop Saren as it does not - so they probably think - affect them in any way.
Also if you *spoilers* gave her the geth data she has something valuable to her people so I don't think that's it *end spoilers*.
But I don't think anyone here knows why she is exiled. We will find out. Though the above explanation makes sense.
