I've never had any problems with my femShep looking weird or ugly from the transition from 2 to 3. That said, there's no getting around that she certainly looks different no matter what you do, which is unfortunate.
I fell in love with my FemShep again!

Yeah, I fixed my issues by taking Andersons words "maybe a little softer around the edges" by adding some "weight" to Femshep. Not much, but just enough that transition from ME2 to ME3 didn't look like reversed aging. Also changed the hairstyle.

Aw well, the worst part is that I cannot finish ME3.. for some reason. I mean, I have done it many times but after a while away from the game and with the first FemShep I dared to import.. I was all tears after Tessia, mainly tears but still tears. =)
Bah, I used a face code converter to sliders and started another ME1 with her. Also checked her new looks with the same code from ME3 in ME2. She's has a very different hair in ME 1 and 2 with a ponytail but basically, she's still my FemShep and I'll take her all the way again before re-importing her into ME3, even if she has all the completionist and good outcomes already done in ME1&2. Don't get me wrong. ME3 is an amazing and fascinating game, IMHO, but the ending... I'm not ready to take her through that sh.. scenario... with John it was so much easier... =}
