That's funny. Even if it doesn't make sense. Omega always reminded me as being out of Bladerunner. Lots of rain in that movie.

I'm just gonna wait until all of these get compiled in graphic novel form. I enjoyed a lot of the other series (Homeworld, Invasion, etc). This one couldn't be too bad.

Yeah. At least we know Jack somehow evades death by Kai Leng. Can't wait to see it.

Looks like Omega. Well, rain on Omega. Can't fault the writers for lack of consistency. Effects are everything, logic is nothing. Everything as usual. Not a critical flaw, but paying attention to details like this is a part of world consistency. Ah well, why do I even mention this. That was lost a long time ago.

 No point in even trying to keep score at this stage buddyB)

I actually liked Miranda there. Wow, I only had to wait 3 years to say this again!

LOL. Do you notice how ironic this statement is?

So true. Maybe I'll get this comic, for old times' sake. if only ME3 had never happened to her. ***goes off to pine for ME2 Miranda***

I believe Miranda now actually has story content worthy of her, the first really since ME2.

How is it raining on omega? Its set in omega yeah? On page 5?

It's set on Omega, yes. Was it actually ever said that the facilities cannot simulate rain?

Why would they want to simulate rain?

To remind people of home, keep them calm?

It's not Omega.

They took some notes on the reception to the previous issues' art style, obviously.

Agreed.

To paraphrase TIM: Strength for Cerberus is strength for humanity.

Strength for Miranda is strength for Mass Effect. The whole world suffers the more you screw over foundational characters (hence, why this comic series is being made, I guess).

Definitely. It's much, much better than the previous ones.

Nothing beats how bad #3 was.

I reserve judgment until I've seen the whole thing, but it does look somewhat promising. I just wonder why nobody has been able or willing to come up with something more interesting than the stale "Shepard's corpse" plot which has already been dealt with by Redemption.

Indeed. At least we get 2 comics though!

I actually don't mind provided it's done well and not just treating them as mustache twirling villains.

Besides, it's Miranda and Jacob looking for Shepard's corpse. What do you expect? They worked for Cerberus.

This is the only time you'd expect to see Cerberus

But if Brooks shows up somewhere then...

Brooks was a cool character imo. I don't mind seeing her. She brought back some of the intrigue Cerberus should be known for. TIM lost his mind and Cerberus just turned into Star Wars villains.

Brooks is a cool character, but the world doesn't need to get any smaller.

That's true enough, but since these are "prequels", I'm OK with it. Future wise, the world needs to grow beyond Liara and Cerberus.

This actually looks okay because it's focusing on something that's right down Walters' alley. He added a lot of the personality to Omega, (EDIT: Apparently it isn't Omega) he wrote Miranda in ME2 IIRC, (Jacob too?) and they're both core Cerberus members. It doesn't seem forced as with "Oh look, Cerberus was just conveniently involved with [insert past event you saw/heard of in ME1]"

I hope Walters is listening to the feedback he finds other than those biased "Oh it's just so great, because it's written by the lead writer of ME franchise" reviews you can find around the internet, and he'll tone down some of the more contrived Cerberus involvements. But he can't just stop writing about Cerberus because people don't like it. The point of the series, or rather, the end goal is to show the path of Rasa/Maya Brooks who is Cerberus, so that's that.

...and shame on Jay Watamaniuk who wrote Miri in ME3... this is the good ol' Miranda I used to like :3

I don't want to sound like a hater, but I think I probably won't care about Mass Effect after this is over. I'm going to read these and then move on. I'm glad these characters get a little time in the spotlight, but I doubt I'll ever care about anyone else. I hope the next game is good, but I'm way too attached to some of the ME1 and ME2 squad (and the setting) to want to play in another setting/squad again. It's sort of dawning on me that ME3 Citadel really is a goodbye. I don't blame Walters for wanting to write these comics and exploring this stuff again. He probably feels the same way.

I've said in my mission-by-mission review that I feel betrayed by ME3 on three counts, one of them being what they did to Miranda, so I won't be back for the next game, most likely. That hasn't changed. Still, it's nice to see Miranda as I came to like her in ME2. Triggers some good memories, too.
