For the life of me (pardon the pun), I cannot complete this side-quest. I am reasonbly certain that I have gone to Denerim and sought out Sara. I have gone to both the Dark Alley and the Dirty Back Alley and sough out Tania. I have gone to Lake Calenhad (or more specifically, the Docks) and sought out Larana. And I have gone to Radcliffe Village and sought out Irenia. I have retraced my steps and there is no indication that they are waiting for post-mortum results.
Did I miss something?

Are you playing on PS3? Per the DA Wiki, there is a known bug with the quest, in which there is an extra, 5th letter of condolence that remains after all four widows have been notified.
The quest is intermittently bugged on PC as well. Sometimes it won't update when the letters are delivered, and the letters will remain in inventory.
