You want to talk about nerfed enemies? Play ME1 Insanity and do UNC: Missing Survey Team ASAP, and realise just how far Husks have fallen.

Back when they had overload.

Even swarmers were super beefy in ME1.

ME2 was "easy" for me simply because I managed to acquire the Cain before Horizon and made sure I had enough power cells to fire it there and on the Collector Ship.

Praetorians on ME3 are a leading cause of Cobra missile expenditures for me. (Though if I end up clutching a wave on a gold PUG again I might deliberately take my time whittling the last one down.)

I also don't recall lasers hitting me behind cover in ME2.

Shepard will get hit if he is not in sticky cover position.

To the OP:

Go back and play ME2. When you get to the Praetorian fight on Horizon, this is what you do. Stick you squad in cover somewhere, like in the truck bed on the left side near the entrance. Now head over to the trucks on the left side near the control terminal and near the catwalk with the medi-gel. Now just circle around the trucks as it chases you, always keeping the trucks in between you and it. You never have to fire a single shot if you don't want to. Your team will kill it and you will never be shot.

THIS is why people are saying the ME3 Praetorian is much harder.

MP missions will have higher chane to fail if ME2 Praetorians are in ME3 because of the "Death Choir". Even ME3  Praetorians ****** off almost every gamer.

Pfft Death Choir. ME3 Praetorians don't need no stinking Death Choir.

Do we need to revisit the Praetorian flowchart?

I'd actually call the ME3 one tougher.

The ME2 one was incredibly easy to kite.

This

QTF. Praetorian on horizon never gave me headache. There was lots of cover and he was alone, slow and dumb. The Scions and bumrushing Husks that preceded him on the other hand were huge PITA making horizon the hardest mission in ME2. I Actually siged in relief when Praetorian came.

That is the point.

If there had been 2 of them at the same time Shepard would die with a >90% probability no matter what the player does.

If there are 3 of them coming from 3 different angles (as the Praetorians in ME3 do) Shepard would die for certain within 20 seconds.

ME3's Praetorian is weaker in every way because they come in greater numbers due to MP's horde mode format.

Well, in this case I would agree. I think most people were just commenting that it was easy to fight the Praetorian in ME2 because there was only one and you could always keep your distance and some cover between you and it. In ME3 MP, with its hordes of everything coming at you, it would be harder to recreate the kiting strategy.

Truth is, I find ME3 Scions worse than ME3 Preatorians.

i think in order to balance it out, game developers have to do it. Horizon mission map although bigwas not like ME3 multiplayer. It did not had walls. It would be impossble to run away from 2-3 Boss enemies. Like if you faced more than 1 Banshees in Horizon mission on ME3 (first encounter in the corridor) , you could never finish it without dying 90% times.

If map in ME2 horizon mission was kitable , you could handle 2 of them.

Anyway I think If ME2 praetorian had same powers as ME3(lasers, lunges, bubble), Horizon-Collector Ship mission would be more difficult

That's right. I prefer if Praetorians could use death choir instead of butt lazers.

Also: long-range flea leap, sync kills, f***-you bubble, and wall-hacking buttlazers.

Cheaper, yet tougher nonetheless.

Yes, even with Master Immunity they could hurt with their tech attacks.
That one ship was even worse...
