It depends. Banshees are tanky, super fast, they can instagib you. But overall it's easier to manage a wave with 2 Banshees, than a wave with 2 Primes.

Banshees were only hard back in the beginning because of out of control magnet hands and the fact that most people didn't know how to read their behavior well. Other than a couple of occasions while doing objectives and (foolishly) trusting teammates to intercede, I honestly can't remember the last time I was synced by a Banshee. 6 months ago? Maybe more.

The only enemies I can remember syncing me in relatively recent memory are a few Phantoms I didn't see until I was staggered and a Brute; the latter only because it happens so infrequently I don't really worry about it.

The only thing that really makes Banshees dangerous is their ability to sync-kill you right out of warping to a new location.

And that they are so skinny-- brutes & crabs are such a HUGE target

Teleport -> Instagrab -> Synch-kill... beats every other boss in the game, hands down (especially when you discover they can teleport right up into the "sniper room" on Dagger from the platform below ... I didn't even know they could do that until it happened to me earlier today) - except maybe Praetorians since they're so quiet ... and have buttlazors :\\

Double Geth Primes get rockets 100% of the time. You can't say the same for double Banshees; there are players who do it, but everyone will agree:

Fuck Primes.

This is how I feel about Banshees, I almost always rocket double Banshees out of habit because as anyone who's played with me can attest to, I'm always up in the enemies face which means Banshees are the anti-Andr0idOS.

I do hate Primes though, but nothing will ever be as annoying as the Banshee considering I can't get up in their face which puts me at a disadvantage. Yes I can back up and pew pew... but that's boring. :wizard:

Banshees are just pathetically easy once you get to understand their behavior. If they're teleporting too close to you, just do a quick roll passed them and proc' them to start walking instead. Then unload ammo in their face and they'll be in their 2nd phase in a matter of seconds. The stray warp ball is the only thing that downs me nowadays.

I find Scions (possessed) and erratic turret tossing Primes to be more of a threat.

That's all well and good except when they teleport through walls ... and you're playing a kit that can't dodge (Batarian or Krogan for instance). Or the host is really laggy and the Banshee literally grabs you mid-BC as you're going past to hit a Marauder behind her (invincibility frames don't make you immune to synch-kills). Or you're staggered by a Marauder Elbow of Justice just long enough for the Banshee to teleport in and synch-kill you. Or when you're in a PuG and half the team gets synch-killed almost every wave.

Banshees are still top of the tree for cheap kills as far as bosses go ... closely followed by Praetorians, then Phantoms*.

* I rarely host which probably explains my bias

I don't mind banshees, it's just when off host issues occur is when they become a problem...the dodging out of their way and magically moonwalking back into grip is not fun. I think she is still up there with the top bosses, but for me it will always be those geth primes/invisible rocket troopers.

At times even if you are taking cover, they will hit you as soon as you peak out to take a shot...that is extremely cheap, not to mention turrets and drones...primes will have you in the red with one hit, stun-lock, then death. Banshees are manageable if you know where they are, but if you have a few spread around the map, you need to be aware of where they are and not take cover too often because they will teleport right next to you and grab you.

I don't like phantoms too much, BUT i can deal with them only if the game mechanics itself is performing as it should...as in if i biotic charge a phantom, i expect it to be stunned, use my whips (phoenix) and roll back and repeat, not charge into a sync-kill or charge and she takes no damage...

Banshees carry Reapers. Single-handedly. You fail mission against Reapers its most probably because of Banshees (and to a some extent Marauders). You fail to extract against collectors - Scions, Possessed abominations, Captains. Against Cerberus Turrets, Phantoms, Dragoons. Geth - sneaky Pyros,Hunters, turrets.

Banshees are THE real Boss Despite her weak attack and Armour (compared to Atlas-Crabs) . If you don't agree, imagine 2 banshees with 2-3 scions and abominations.

They're very weak offensively, they can't cause any damage to players apart from their warp or melee attacks (both of which are extremely weak and very easy to avoid). So yeah, no offensive capability. But they push you around the map more than any other boss. If I was to rank the bosses, I'd say that the top boss is the geth prime, followed by the praetorian, then the banshee, and the atlas poses the least threat out of all the bosses.

The only reason praetorians are dangerous is because they're extremely buggy. Lasers that can completely ignore hard cover and shield/health gates, which means you can very easily get killed instantly from full health nd shields while standing behind a wall. Then they also have those annoying glitched homing missiles that can turn 90 degress around corners and seem to have a mind of their own.

i hate the "immune-to-powers-cuz-i'm-invisible and my-shotgun-will-reach-you-no-matter-how-you-run" geth hunters the most.

however the marauder "elbow-one pheaston burst" combo is also deadly.

So in other words play platinum collectors? Seriously banshees really aren't that big of a deal.

IMO, on their own booses are not really a big deal. Its their ability to force you out in sight infantries is what counts. And in that sense Banshees keep me more terrified. I would rather have lone 2 preatorians chasing me on wave 10 device objective than 2 lone banshees.

Banshees are a lot scarier when you don't have a dodge.

Just an annoyance without the support of other elite enemies and LOL hard cover sticks. Banshees on Plat suck anus because they force you into the open where ranged enemies become a factor. They are RHA breakers.

The point of Banshees is to flush you into Marauders or Ravagers.

This is somewhat the opposite of what Primes are there to do.

Phantoms have the most synergies stacked onto one "boss," at least if you are the host.

This. You engage an Atlas from 'Hard cover'. Atlases fires what? You cant see the animation that it is shooting.  You think there is phantom behind you that you are taking the damage. Thenyou die and then you know that was Atlas shooting , probably from his penis.
