I was wondering if anyone could fill me in about the Sci vs Fi episode that aired last night. I do not have cable (college guy paying his own bills, gotta trim the budget you know?) and i really wanted to see it.
So any new information that was given out, or links to certain clips would be greatly appreciated.
Note: I'm not talking about the Part 1-3 that have been periodically going up before the show aired, I'm talking the actual show itself.
Thank anyone and everyone for their assistance!
How was the Sci vs. Fi Episode?

If you don't want allot of spoilers, stay away. If you don't mind the informations, good watch.

I missed Part 4 because stupid wrestling carried over... my Tivo didn't catch it. I have it set to rerecord on Friday

I enjoyed it more than the Xplay 30 minute episode, told more of the story and concepts where as Xplay just kept showing the shooting and explosions.... didn't see any of it online, only watched the show on the network formerly known as SciFi.

Didn't miss anything in the 4th part. They stopped talking about the game, so to speak, and all just started giving their opinions on it. There was nothing game related in it.

That's why I always set everythig to record for 30 minutes past the "end." Things are always spilling over to some degree, and I'm a tad OCD.

Anyone have a link to part 4? i have seen part 1,2,3.
Still a bit confused about it though....was the episode on Television simply the 4 parts? or was it something else entirely? I was under the impression that it was different.

Yeah, the TV show was just the 4 parts with commercials inbetween, so you didn't miss anything if you've seen it online. I think part 4 will come out later today? I haven't seen any links for it.

I think you'll basically see everything online. I stopped watching it 15 minutes into it because it was all the same. A few spoilers, and I was starting to think to myself, "Wow, I feel like I'm learning too much about what's going to happen." But, if you don't mind, then it's worth watching. I would say, however, it's really not that in-depth. It's kind of a rehash of all the marketing that's been done so far, with a few new clips thrown in. I don't think we learned anything new about mechanics or gameplay; just some cool vids and a few spoilers.

I just kept yelling and covering my eyes when like it would show shepard running around and stuff exploding.
Dont want some balding guy to tell me what happens in a game I will be playing myself in 6 days (Sessler not Muzyka).
Why watch it on tv then? lol.

they showed alot of in game footage and dialogue. I turned it off less than 5 minutes in. I will review the game myself.
its strange... at 27 years old, this is the first game that I have been concerned about not seeing spoilers

There were not really much spoilers, except the game length, and some new areas you'll go to.

I share the fate of many others in regards to trying to DVR the program as I lost the last 5-10 minutes or so due to the abomination that is Wrestling on the SyFy network. (sorry, WWE fans) None the less I enjoyed it immensly, and found that the useful information it gave out-weighed the few spoilers that were scattered throughout. And, in regards to said spoilers, none were too bad minus one about a particular character.
I have always enjoyed SyFy's Sci vs Fi specials, as they are always worth the watch and the folks they bring in to comment on the subject matter (other than the game, movie, or TV show's writers, directors, etc) are always people that resonate deeply with either the Geek (i.e. Me) culture or the general Pop-Culture groups. Having G4's Adam Sessler and Will 'Prince of Geeks' Wheaton comment and give observations on the game's impact was a real treat. Overall, I would say the show is well worth the risk to watch, if only for the In depth Character and Story studies made by those being interviewed. Also, and I feel shame admitting this, but, one Particular clip between Shepard and Miranda nearly knocked me out of my chair.
Sad...I know...
