Ive never understood why EA gers the blame. Ive never scene a complaint on this forum that relates to something EA did with ME3. As a matter of fact my most favorite aspects of ME 3 are things EA implemented. Multiplayer, combat, $ for voice actors, $ for hanz zimmer or whatever his name is, they even had dice come in and offer assistance. Meanwhile EVERY complaint i have solely rests on biowares shoulders. Bioware had everything it needed to make an outstanding video game.
Too bad peoPle dont play bioware for their expertise in narrative.

*shrugs* Something about different versions of how to interpret Miranda's character lead to bickering and insults. I only know a few people who were involved.StreetMagic wrote...

Certainly this should be a given, but that's speaking from the perspective of the 'old-timers', by which I mean people whom BioWare attracted through games like Baldurs Gate, Neverwinter Knights, KotOR, Jade Empire and Mass Effect.
These were games aimed at a niche market, created by a smaller group people who shared the passions of their audience towards a particular kind of experience.
Let's not overstate this. Bio always wanted to be a big developer rather than a niche outfit, and they've never been all that loyal to whatever the self-proclaimed true RPG fans think are the defining features of the RPG genre. Every couple of years Bio commits some sort of atrocity against the RPG fans, starting when BG2 abolished overland map exploration.

I think the main thing EA deserves blame for is the time constraints. It's obviously rushed, in Priority Earth at least. I can't imagine Bioware actually wanted to reduce so many characters to just cameo roles either. They had to cut corners. At least I hope that's what it was.
I happen to be a Miranda fan.dreamgazer wrote...

The suicide mission where everyone can die pretty much guaranteed that. Did you really not see that coming, people?

I really don't understand why BW has to cannonize anything about the ME3 ending. Since when has BW shown any concern for consistency, continuity, or logic in the ME series?

It really would be in everyone's interest if they avoided the whole thing.
Well, except the people who just so happen to have playthroughs that are "canon".
