So if there were to be a first contact experience this time next year, which ME species would you prefer to be the one we meet? Mine would be the Drell. Though not capable of interstellar travel just yet according to the lore, I think they would be a better option due to also being relatively new to the galactic scene, they have similar lifespans and are a familiar humanoid shape anatomically. They are still sentient and thus very smart, so we would still have much to learn from one another.
If you could choose a ME species to be Earth's first contact experience IRL, which would you choose and why?

Oh, come on. Who's not going to pick Asari? They are not going to try to kill us right off the bat and there will be tons of little blue babies in no time at all.

Sounds good on paper, but look at how much of an advantage they would hold over us. Great interstallar fleet, naturally powerful biotics, much longer lifespan, may be smarter etc. You have to consider that we would naturally fear them much for a while, may not be a good thing if a random person forced them to do something to protect themselves.cap and gown wrote...

The most exclusive strip clubs across earth would be wall to wall Asari shows a month after first contact. Every male on earth would instantly start drooling uncontrollably. The saying "I got to get me some of that blue azure" would become common place within a month. The biggest problem would probably be earth women rising up in rebellion to throw all Asari off earth and ban space travel.

Oh, I got it. Thx Tickle.
I would say Batarians if I could change the game-plot.
But In Real Life, LOL, got it now...
So, I would say, Salarians... They could uplift us maybe? Like they are doing with the Yagh and with the Krogans...

Krogan is both singular and plural. Salarians may be a good choice, though their uplifting has seemed to backfire on them. The only issue with Salarians as a first contact is I have the feeling they would never truly share what they know with us.MegaIllusiveMan wrote...

Oh, really? I didn't know. Thanks!
But maybe they don't have to share all of their knowledge, but enough to uplift us and etc.
But maybe it couldn't backfire, since Krogan(Thanks again ) and Yagh are considered violent species compared to humans.
