So, some people have been posting that one of the devs said they would reveal who the LI's are on Valentines, but I cannot find where this was stated.
Sooo... yeah, anyone have a link?

I think Gaider mentioned it in a thread or tweet, but it was not a definite. He said he would LIKE to get them out by then.

I don't even think he said that. I don't have the quote, but I think it was "wouldn't it be nice?" kind of comment. I'd hardly take that as anything more than a dev saying "wouldn't that be nice" about anything.

That would be sweet...perhaps release promotional pics in the form of valentines? Maybe with clever and witty slogans hinting to their personalities and roll in the grand scheme of things?

It must be so frustrating to have your words taken out of context, twisted and then stated as truth the way bsn does every time a dev tries connecting with a fan (not directed at you, OP, but where you got your info from. As others said, it was more of a 'this would be cool' thing, which isn't to say it won't happen.

But surely for the LI reveal, they need to announce all the companions first. I think it's unlikely myself.

But in all serious, I too would like to know the predicted date. So I can avoid the forums for a while after the news hits. I would much rather discover the LIs on my own in game.
DA:I will be the first "new" game I get to play through that hasn't been completely spoiler'd (I know, I'm a child. I'm ashamed of that), so I definately want to be surprised by character and plot development.  :innocent:

In short: there is no Valentine's Day reveal about DA romances. I suggested that might be a great day for such, but I have no influence upon when it occurs and there are no plans for it (or any reveal of romances, period) of which I'm aware.

Hey!  Go right on speculating, please do!  If nothing else it serves as a welcome distraction from the realization that it will be at least Fall 2014 before we get to play Inquisition.

By all means, go ahead and speculate. But note that I will willfully lack the ability to discern between your speculation and absolute fact and thus use your speculation as a reason to ****** and moan incessantly on the fourms.

Who are these people? What are they smoking? And where can I get some?

Although Valentine's Day would be a great day for a romance reveal. It is at least seven months before the game is due to be released that would mean that we would have to know nearly every companion seven months before the release date.

It's a great idea but I don't think they are going to tell us that much so soon.

I don't see at all why we would need to know all the companions for Bioware to offer us a reveal of one companion who would also be an LI.

If it were up to me, we wouldn't tell you a single other thing about the story at all--never mind the characters you meet, or who will join your party. The desperation of some people to spoil themselves silly is a bit of a mystery to me.
