I'm not a real big fan of the Architect although intelligent darkspawn were inevitable . shrugs. I hadn't counted on the original Tevinter mages , of which Corypheus is one, of still being alive and having so much power.
So the question is are the darkspawn more of a threat dumb with another archdemon every few hundred years or more of a threat as intelligent beings. I think intelligence makes them more dangerous and in DAI we'll find out which way things go.

On the sunject of Tevinter I'm really curious whether we are going to see more of them and Tevinter as a whole, whether its really as bad as Fenris says.Angrywolves wrote...
I said something about the wardens.

I predict there will be a major confrontation between Morrigan and her mother
I predict we will have to kill a character that was in the previous games

My theory is that the old gods have a big role in this game and probably are the antagonist along with Tevinter Cultists.

Every now and again, one of them is right--but a broken clock is right twice a day, so... yeah.

We can now physically travel in the Fade without need of blood magic.
There will be a scene between Corypheus and the Architect.

For some reasons, I first read it as Quarians and said, "What the ****?".TKavatar wrote...
The ending cutscene will show a massive fleet of Qunari dreadnoughts heading straight for Tevinter.

The main antagonist is going to be a small cult like group who are manipulating the nations and factions of Thedas into going to war so that the veil will tear completely. Their goal will be a mystery until the end game.
Demons will be the Darkspawn of the game.
Mage-templar war will be fight everywhere but in only in small battle with the main conflict being in one location.
Wardens and Darkspawn
Corypheus will still be in Janeka/Larius and be using the taint/blood magic to control the wardens’ hierarchy leading to a power struggle within the wardens. Corypheus will use darkspawn in the struggle If you spared the architect he will fight against Corypheus to keep the darkspawn free of his control.
Orzammar
Something will happen.
Morrigan and Flemeth
No real information will be given on what Flemeth is or her overarching plan but we will learn what her plans for Morrigan and the OGB are/were (if the dark ritual was not done) and what Morrigan is up to now.
GODS
No information on the existence of the marker or the Creators will be given one way or another.
Elf uprising
City and Dalish elf will be fight to retake the Dales. It will end badly for them no matter what we do.
The Orlesian civil war
A human Inquisitor of can make a power move by way of a political marriage with Gaspard de Chalons or Celene
Ferelden
Something will happen
Ferelden views on the other conflicts will be shaped be the gray warden (for example having a Dalish or city elf warden would make ferelden more likely to help the elves)
Nevarra
Will have a major undead problem s they do not burn their dead.
Free marches
Something will happen
The fade and the black city
People will be dumb enough to enter the fade.
We will learn more about it and the black city but nothing will prove or disprove the chantry
The Inquisition
The armys will be a cool feature but will be underused
Red Lyrium
will now be found under every rock.
oh =D I like these theorys a lot...
yeah for the black/golden city.. what the chantry always thought is going to be throw out the window.at least a different understand of what they always thought..will be found out.
hmm.. As for the elf uprising... from the Masked empire novel (short bio) ..isn't it focusing on what is happening in Orlesian empire only ..So i dont think the dales will be touch..unless it starts to carry all over.. I just thought it was the elf fighting with orley...Well novel is not even out yet..so i dunno^^ I guess it would cross over into other nations
=D

Thanks
Also the Dales are part of the Orlesian Empire in the southeastern part, right next to Ferelden.

Here's my prediction about that: The Grey Wardens will be in danger of being controlled by powerful taint-carrying entities like Corypheus. We will either be able to do something about that or we will have to kill them.Steelcan wrote...
After just scanning briefly through this thread I'm curious as to why there's almost nothing to do with the darkspawn or the wardens.
Seems to me like the wardens at least are going to have some sort of impact.

Why do you think I quoted Duke Prosper's statement about bragging rights in the OP?Foopydoopydoo wrote...

Also, I see some groaning in cases where we've been completely off-track. Which is fine with me, as long as being wrong only makes me groan and not rage (there are some possible permutations of the OGB story arc which would be liable to do that, but then I'm not making a prediction about that).

I feel like they're never going to answer truthfully the mysteries of the Maker, Golden City, and the Elven Pantheon. Maybe the Darkspawn taint and the Old Gods - because those two actually manifest in the physical world - but not all the legends and speculations the people of Thedas and we, have.
You think wrong then. They've been building up to some big reveal about the darkspawn, the Maker and the Black City ever since the intro to the first game. The way things are isn't a permanent state of affairs because it's far too clean for Dragon Age. Nothing is ever what it seems.

Anyway, I would find it interesting for Corypheus and the Architect to encounter one another in DAI, largely because I'm curious if the former would recognize the latter.

I think we will get something more about the Golden/Black City, the darkspawn, the Old Gods and the ancient magisters, but we won't get anything about the Maker. That would play havoc with the some of the themes the stories have been exploring. The intro of DAO is backstory which explains some of the situation we're finding ourselves in, there is no foreshadowing in it at all beyond a hint that we might need to deal with the darkspawn. Also, from what I've heard Bioware hadn't planned for a sequel at first, which appears rather plausible to me given the epilogue retcons they had to do to continue.

Much more likely Flemeth, Morrigan and any other will have to work, together helping the Inquisitor fight Dumat, Corypheus , the other Tevinter mages and their allies. Going to need allies with strong magic to win.
