Antagonist is the leader of the 'anti-inquisition' that has been destabilizing thedas since the end of the blight for their own benifit. The fade tears were opened to cause chaos to let them operate unnoticed. They opened the tears usin knowledge they obtained from corypheus (how? Dunno). They have the knowledge to close the fade tears and plan to "miraculously appear" with this knowledge to gain power(grey wardens kinda sorta) and assume control over what they can. That's all I got.

This thread must be a source of endless amusement for devs.

With that said, I predict that no matter what the protagonist chooses, it will be largely the same outcome by the end so they don't have to incorporate world-changing gameplay differences from player choices (for example, one player helped decentralize the Chantry while another restored the Circles) or keep track of too many changes for future games. Just like how the Warden still ultimately had to unite Ferelden to defeat the Blight (with all side quests getting only minor nods in the sequels, like Alistair showing up in Kirkwall if king and no one if not) and Hawke stopping the Qunari invasion , defeating Meredith, and kickstarting the worldwide mage rebellion, I think this will have rather centralized outcomes.

Why that.I seem to recall Heavy Rain had several differenty endings.
Of course Bioware may not be ready yet to go to the different endings model.I wish they would.I would like mutiple endings.

From the you kill the antagonist/enemy and fix the veil tears, reform the chantry, get a home for the daliish, help Orzammar and Kal Sharok reconcile, hold down blood magic by Tevinter and postpone the Qunari invasion, to...

anything else..

1) Corypheus will have possessed a new host and will eventually be revealed as the one behind the Veil tears

2) Divine Justinia will have a hand in choosing the Inquisitor before being killed or overthrown

3) Mysteries surrounding Flemeth's goals and nature will be slowly unravelled

4) King Markus of Nevarra will die heirless, giving Cassandra a strong claim to the throne

5) The armies of Starkhaven, led by Prince Sebastian Vael, will annex or destroy Kirkwall in a blaze of righteous fury

6) Another one of Morrigan's sisters will be encountered

I agree with all except Number 1. I think we will definitely encounter Cory again, but I think he won't be the final antagonist.

Mages and templars will band together against the Inquisition, and it will turn out that we're playing the villain. Fans will rejoice, wallets will fly open; it will be amazing.

On a slightly more serious note, I suspect the veil tears won't be the final battle. We'll close them, and then find out they were just a distraction from something else, probably Flemeth's plan to steal all our cheeses or something.

I think we might have to kill Bethany or Carver.
Corypheus is controlling the Wardens, and if Bethany/Cavrer are a Warden we have to fight them and kill them.
Or, if they joined the circle/Templars
Depending on what side you choose in the Mage V. Templar war, determines whether they are an ally or an enemy to kill.

Other predictions include:
- Sandal is mage or at least some new Dwarven form of a mage
- We will see the black city and the main villian is an Old God (Basically the Black city was a prison and the Magisters accidentally weakened it and allowed the prisoner - possibly an old god - to not escape but have some kind of influence. Essientially, he/she has been manipulating events to weaken the prison and veil more to finally escape)
- The Qunari are preparing for war with the rest of Thedas (They'll most likely use the tearing of the veil as the reason for them to invade. Something along the lines of "Magic is the disease, meet the cure! *holds up the Qun*)

Corypheus is controlling the Wardens, and if Bethany/Cavrer are a Warden we have to fight them and kill them.

I think there will be a way to avoid that "let's kill every wardens" solution, and you can free them from Corypheus's influence with minimum casualty or no casualty at all and the surviving wardens will aid the Inquisition. If the game forces me to fight against the organization of first protagonist in the series without other option it feel wrong and just cruel to the player.

1) Corypheus will have possessed a new host and will eventually be revealed as the one behind the Veil tears

2) Divine Justinia will have a hand in choosing the Inquisitor before being killed or overthrown

I agree with Corypheus appearance in DAI, but I don't really think he's the big bad behind the Veil tears, and the armies of Starkhaven invade Kirkwall could be averted so I don't really think we'll see more than rumor for this one, but it'll be interesting to see Sebastian either rally people against the Mages or rally people against the Templars depend on who do you side with on the final choice in DAII.

If you have token Carver and Anders in group in Legacy, only Anders heard the music from Corrypheus. Anders was tainted more time than Carver. I think there is a time factor. Corrypheus can appear in DAI but I don't think he is the true villain in the game.

In the previous cinematic with Leilana, the tevinter mage spoke about the Ancient. The Ancient is normally a spirit living like a Tree as we saw one in DAO.

But I don't think so it is the final antagonist.

Since Legacy, when I saw that the Dumat altar worked I always think that it is alive and he gave power of gods to the tevinter magister as he promissed as immortality and soul jumper as we saw. I think Dumat is the true Threat for Teldas

I really do like this bit about Sebastian and Starkhaven. Goddamnit, I made him either a Rival or spared Anders in every playtrough, just so he would be guaranteed to lay Waste to Kirkwall.

The main character will be shoehorned into making a boatload of colossally stupid decisions that will culminate in a fail whale cliffhanger ending.

My predictions (which are as predictable as trying to guess the lottery numbers by reading tarot cards)  :wizard: :

- If the Architect is alive, he'll help the Inquisitor by leading an army of darspawn against the Archdemon. He may even come to die fighting Corypheus, in a sort of sacrifice scene.

- The woman made of light that helped the Inquisitor is the key or Anchor. She inhabited his body the moment they touched. She is a spirit of the Fade.

- Corypheus is not the real villain. The magisters of Tevinter are behind the Breach. But even they might be commanded by some unknown force.

- If Anders is alive, he may have vital information regarding the Breach. He may know who is the villain behind it. He may even identify the spirit that helped the Inquisitor survive and reveal its mission.  If he died, then he'll show up anyway, having somehow survived being stabbed in the back.

- At least half of our companions will be dead before the game ends. Only two or three will survive and follow the Inquisitor to the final fight.

- Flemeth is immortal because she drank from the dragons's blood (and told King Calenhad to do the same). She is not a dragon, but she does have some connection to the beasts. Hence her immortality and why you can't kill her in Origins. Also, her reason for wanting to preserve the soul of the Old Gods is connected to their life. If all of them die, maybe she'll die as well.

But Flemeth already knew the Old Gods were destined to become Archdemons, so she took some precautions. She knows what Morrigan is about to do because she took the very same steps as a young woman in order to protect herself from the coming storm. Which is why Morrigan is also an OGB.

- We saw two dragons fighting in the trailer. One of them may be commanded by Flemeth - or be her, shapeshifted. If it's not her, then their deaths will result in her death as well. Morrigan may outlive her mother, after all. And regret to see Flemeth's demise.

- Alistair will render aid to the Inquisitor once he knows there's an Archdemon around. He will summon his armies (and maybe the Wardens of Ferelden) to help in the fight.

- The Qunari may become involved with the Inquisitor if a Blight threatens Par Vollen. If Sten became Arishok, he may send an army to help us. Or we may end up meeting the Qunary amy during one of our missions.

Can't think of anything else for the moment. That's about it.
