You prefer paying more money for the same thing?

Well, if you got money to throw away even though you have alternatives, you can always throw me some bucks.

I see it as a tactic by the NWO to prepare the masses for the upcoming zombie apocalypse of their design.

edit: I think I'd rather take my chances with the zombies if I had to choose.

It's a holiday in that we're celebrating our nation's excessively sick consumerist and materialistic values.

Pretty sure the Black Friday moniker comes from the phrase "in the black"; which is the opposite of "in the red". In other words, it suggests a net profit rather than a loss. The whole idea of Black Friday is to lure consumers into stores with sales in hopes of selling them higher cost items while they're there. It's a way to boost a store's profit margin.

I don't think it's aimed at low income earners so much as impulse buyers. It's sort of like a Steam sale in that regard; except the sale items are finite.

The insanely marked down merchandise tends to move extremely fast. Hence why folks will line up in front of shops early in the morning to beat everyone else to those sales. Having worked retail on Black Friday, it's pretty insane. Sort of like going to a concert without good music, and more crap on sale. :P

Personally, the only time I ever bothered with it was years back when I bought several DVDs super cheap. And that was online through Amazon; back before they had the timed sale nonsense they use now. You couldn't pay me to shop on Black Friday in person.
