Hello everyone,

here is a little video tutorial on how to get easy grabs for this challenge.
It's nothing new, I don't take credit for the method, and I'm sure someone else has already done this better than I did.
Nevertheless, when I looked for it, I found other tutorials which seemed slower, I thought I would make a little video and help other fellow BSNers who are having trouble with it.

P.S.: thanks to XFG-65 for telling me about this method.

Edit: I noticed youtube tried to auto-fix the "camera shake". I undid it because it was making it look weird. It will take a while to process though.

Really nice video, that's exactly how I do it too. It's annoying sometimes when the husks choose to go around the barrier and come to your right side, but you can just take cover at the other barrier and sit there for a moment or two. But once you get into a rhythm, you'll start spamming those grabs like crazy.

Also, sometimes there'll be a pesky cannibal chucking grenades at me from the right side, but my krogan vanguard cares not about grenades lol.

Hey, thanks!

Yeah, it can get messy sometimes. I actually recored a few better tries but I chose that one so that people can see how to deal with a few snafus.

Hehehe, Krogan Vanguards eat grenades for breakfast. Surprisingly the cannibal grenades don't really do that much damage unless you're sitting right on top of them.

Yes, I'd done that before.

Recommend cabal w/ short poison strike and biotic focus specced for barrier boost.

Equip falcon to force approaching husks to stagger/stop without killing them. It helps to prevent them all coming at once.

When I farmed grabs I did Cerberus/Giant/Bronze. I probably got about 20 grabs in the same time you got about 30 using this setup- so this seems a bit quicker.

Yep, I had tried that too but got too frustrated. Mainly because I had no patience at the time.

I use this map with Asari sentinel. Small radius annihilation field keeps husks from jumping the barrier and humping your leg. Sometimes it will make them stop short of grab range, but then you can work on headshots or biotic explosions. At the end of the wave when the marauders pile up too close for grabs, tech armor will make them reel back so you can grab them.

I use this same method, and the way to deal with un-cooperative husks is to use a kit with a power that lets you stagger or disable them for a few seconds without dealing much damage. That way you're not dealing with more than one husk at a time, so they don't go around. Stasis works really well, and you can also use it to stop canibals from chucking grenades.

Duration specced Shadow solo bronze/silver (more mooks less bosses) vs Cerberus or Geth works quite well too - especially on Glacier. You cloak, they hunker down behind barriers and you can just run up and grab them ... did that a couple of times to chalk off the grabs challenge but I really can't be bothered with it any more. It clocks over when it clocks over.

That.

Work at least a handful into every match - easy enough to do with cerberus/reapers/geth - opportunities always present themselves. Will soon tick over.

Lots of hours in and I had only around 56 grabs.  Finished up this morning using the approach in the OP (but used AIU in silver) and was done in no time.  Thanks for the inspiration!  Otherwise, grabs seem sort of lame and inefficient.

Often grabs are a great offensively minded defensive option - you can safely run in towards a group if you know somethings available behind or near to cover, grab it and be immune while you plan your next move.

Another random example with a vanguard - charge something standing next to cover, staggers it to a grabbable position, slide into cover and grab.

Look for them and there are opportunities everywhere. Might be more efficient to just use the weapon, or a power in some cases, but only takes a moment to go in for the grab, which is also for me more fun and satisfying.

I'm a grab addict. I frequently get the 5 grab medal in most games. I even managed to get that medal in some duo speedruns.

Another thing you can do if a husk goes around the piece of cover or an enemy jumps over it, is to quickly jump the cover over and grab them afterwards from the other side.

I use White Cerberus Bronze for farming grabs (you should be able to get 50+ easily). But if I am thinking about it, I try to get at least one per match.

^what he/she said.

plus IIRC grabs also count towards melee damage points.
so even on non melee spec characters you get can a few easy melee damage points when a grab is irresistible and your grab challenge is done already.

been over a year most likely since i read that about grabs counting for melee damage so cut me some slack if im mistaken.

Yeah, this is not only a good tactic, but it;s great fun and looks extremely cool as well.

Nemesis slides over cover -> counter slide and grab -> roll to next piece of cover, etc... it's beautiful and seamless.
