So I was doing an all 4 Volus Cerberus Glacier Hazard Platinum with my friends and I got grabbed on the stairs and the Banshee dropped my Volus Mercenary under the stairs. So I was in SPECTATOR mode watching duck's Volus Adept with Spitfire. After 1-2min he brought a Banshee to where my corpse should be, after she orgasms hard, I respawned in LZ. Maybe it's just my Volus living up to his name, but that was so unexpected and kinda hilarious. I also got stabbed later and fall through map, but respawned immediatly. Anyone ever had similar experience?

I've been smacked through the floor and spawned at the lz before, yea. I've also been killed, only to respawn in random places. A couple times I've been revived by my team, but somehow remained in spectator mode, only to regain control of my character a few minutes later.

It's possible that somehow her melee "dislodged" your body and made you fall into the void, which respawned you. Don't look a gift Asari in the azure I suppose.

... in the extraction zone I guess. It happened to me one time, in Hydra. But it was a long time ago, maybe one year from now. I've never seen this bug again since then.

Something similar happened to me on Rio. After the grab animation, Banshee threw my sexy Vorcha body out of the map and I respawned on the LZ. But it was immediately.

In many games, if for whatever reason you glitch through a wall far enough that there is no pathing where you are, the game can't determine your position and will typically respawn or move you to the spawn point of the map, which in this game is the LZ.

I've fallen through the level and then revived in initial spawn point plenty of times, usually in Rio and Vancouver.

Doesn't normally take more than a few seconds though.

Ok, there seems to be a lot of ignorance in this thread. I'm surprised that most people aren't aware these are common mechanics.

Any time a player model falls into the void (the area beneath the physical boundaries of the map) they will be respawned into the map. Most maps have the LZ as their spawn point. The reason for this is that the void is infinite, and completely devoid of physical objects. If an object falls into the void it will continue to fall potentially forever unless it is deleted. To prevent players from getting stuck falling forever, falling a specific distance below the and touching the invisible failsafe will delete your character and respawn them at the LZ. This is not actually a glitch, but a continence in the event of an actual glitch, being usually clipping errors.

These commonly occur after being sync-killed because the player model is relocated after a sync-kill. If you are synced in an awkward location, the game may place you inside of an object. The physics engine will attempt to push you out of the object, usually down through the floor. Most maps lack true overhangs and will drop you in the void.

Another common way this happens is that the invisible barriers that surround the map do not affect ragdolls. For example, the ledge directly behind the spawn on giant has an invisible wall that prevents players from simply walking off the edge. If you are downed in that spot however, your body can simply fall right off the edge unimpeded.

I've had this happen once on giant, during a laggy game. Got force choked by a banshee (who was a decent distance away from me at the time. The game briefly entered spectator mode, then after about 30 seconds I revived on health gate. Didn't fall through the map though.

More annoying is the stealth synch kill which I've seen twice. I've had a narrow escape from a situation where I should have been synched, once with a banshee once with a praetorian. I'm able to run around and shoot for a bit whilst the enemy jusy stands around, then I drop dead, which is just rude. If it happens again I'll have to try and missile the enemy that caused it, but both times before I didn't realise I'd actually been picked up, until death happened...

I've definitely been stuck in the map before, and spent the whole game spectating, on Firebase Reactor no less. Its worse when you're also the host, because then you have to do the oligatory ragequit.

Vancouver,white, and ghost I have had this happen . Also been stuck under lz in white once that was kinda weird .
