I agree that the Mass Effect games were released in too short order and as a result all the games were very similiar in terms of design and style. had this been the late 1990s/ early2000s the games would have mostly taken double the development time with each each game being vastly different. The current trend however is creating games fast with less lasting appeal, which has lead to the game industry moving faster and faster. The original Mass Effect looked like it came from a different age, and in some ways that is actually true as just seven years ago the gaming industry looked different  from what it is now, though admittedly the acceleration of production cycle had allready started but as the years went by it only started to go faster and faster.

Very true Fixers0. When you play ME1, it's clearly a labour of love despite all it's flaws. Hell, because of it's flaws it has a certain charm in it's roughness. It had soul.
