I honestly can't bear the thought of my Geth Engi having 1/2 shields, so I would just use the scanner with it. Granted, I miss out on a lot of bonuses, but I generally prefer survivability.
On the other hand, I cannot imagine a Geth without Hunter Mode.

P.S.: Am I the only noob who zoom in while shooting?
P.P.S.: MY geth has definitely best color scheme

I like to spec into the 7.5% weapon damage bonus instead of the other option. Neither of those evolutions will make a significant (or even noticeable) impact on your game, but I like knowing that my lancer is doing 7.5% more damage.

Speed and Vision on Hunter Mode is better than the 10% damage, especially for Solos. Otherwise this is exactly how the Geth Engineer should be played.
The Geth Trooper and Engineer benefit more from rank 6 damage bonus. GT has good survivability due to fortification and needs all the damage bonus (especially the non flamer build). GE is dependent on overload so increasing the damage helps and since you can't cast overload through walls, damage bonus makes more sense.
Speed and Vision is the way to go on the GI, I agree.

You make it sound like spamming Overload is all a GE can do. Overload is quite essential, that's true, but one additive 10% bonus among all the others rarely makes a noticeable difference.
My Javelin GT can take most mooks out with a single body shot, and when it can't, a 10% bonus isn't going to change that. Besides, GT is a rare beast in that it's both tough and agile - you should take advantage of that.
On the other hand, better situational awareness and faster movement speed is always useful. You get to spawns faster, you can avoid more fire, you carry pizzas faster, you spot Phantoms earlier. All that matters.

It's 10% more weapon damage and power damage, so it's not negligible (especially considering chain overload).
On a Javelin GT vision range update is kind of redundant and you don't need to close distances or rush to spawns either, which makes the speed increase pointless.
I could also argue that you're doing something wrong, if you got a javelin and need the vision range increase to have more situational awarness.

Because Geth Engineer without Hunder Mode is stupid.

I tried arc pistol last night and it was really good. So good, that I will most likely keep it on him. Lancer is just no fun. Just couldn´t figure out if it´s better for priming to make charged shots or uncharged. Seemed same.

Actually, if you do not zoom in that is more newbish... Zooming in increases the accuracy of the gun

I didn't know Gethgineers had two different modes.

Isn't Hunter Mode's damage bonus multiplicative?Aedolon wrote...

I don't think it is. Which is why speed and vision is always the better choice imo. The GE is quite squishy, which makes the speed bonus vital for survivability.Jack Crapper wrote...

I like to use weapons on my geth that benefit from RoF and accuracy from HM, so I usually equip the Talon, Wraith or Lancer on him.

Good commentary requires duality. A solo commentator will always devolve into a play by play.MaxShine wrote...
Doing a nice LP is demanding, I like it when the LPer manages to share his gaming experience with the audience and give a feel for the game. On most of the 'professional' LP channels that make non-stop LPs, you see the LPer just shіtting stupidity out of his mouth... I have no idea how anyone can watch that kind of stuff for more than 10 minutes.

HM is arguably the best power in the game. Certainly somewhere in the top five.

With Cyclonic 4 and the sheild recharge from GT its not that squishy .
