Hello I’m new to NWN2 coming from a NWN1 background and was
hoping I get some direction on which tree plugin I would like to use. I’m a bit
confused I have checked the vault and I’m not sure which one to use. My
confusion comes in as to which one is up to date and will work with the most up
to date patch and all expansions and was hoping I could get some suggestions on
which one to use? Any help would be
appreciated

Do you mean a tree walkmesh cutter? The PowerBar will do that for you. There's also the Tree Cutter plug-in.

Sorry I was not clear enough, I was actually asking about a tree randomizer.

Hey kamal_, is this still an issue with the seeds? Given the PC performances since the game was new? Or is the warning concerning only the plug in?
I ask because I have some areas from SGK here, that are loaded with seeds. The farmlands for example, I'm sure you know of. When I tested them, I had no problem at all.

Obsidian's suggestion was 5 seeds for performance reasons. Because I do single player and computers are better now, I have used as many as 25. If I was doing a PW, I would probably stick to 5 for the performance.

Ah, misunderstood. I thought number of seeds referred to number of trees, and not number of types of trees.

I've been thinking of creating a new thread where people can post some of their favourite tree seeds. I tend to use trial and error to get natural-looking trees, so when I hit upon a few seed values that look good I tend to store them in a text file for posterity. Would others be willing to contribute their own favourite seeds, with either small cropped screenshots or text descriptions?

I just let the randomizer do it. If I want to force something I just hit the same numbers on the keyboard, 55555..... or 333333..... until I see one I like.

Please do start such a thread. I think this kind of documentation of good values of random elements can be very useful. I've seen it used in other places.DannJ wrote...

If you take groups consisting of different seasonal variations of the trees, then entering the same seed will produce the same shape across the group.
