That's why Reapers come every 50,000 years... they don't give you enough time to max your manifest.

The Asari Huntress is also good with the PPR, plays almost identical to the Awakened Collector. With the Collector and the Huntress using Warp Ammo is pretty nice too.

Ahem, prollector is much tankier, has innate 10% bonus (which affects ammo damage as well) and has one no cooldown priming power. IMO PPR is suboptimal weapon for huntress (she needs claymoar), cuz no synergy with the main benefit of her cloack (cooldow override). If you want to use PPR on asari, AJA is a better choice.

So I tried the Destroyer build with the PPR. Warp ammo, HVB, Mag upgrade. AR gear and AR consumable. Against Cerberus.

Worked out a lot better than before. Tried mostly for headshots. Phantoms were not pleased. Hawk Missile launcher seemed like a useful combo.

Got another question. Does the rifle lose effectiveness at extreme range? I was trying to engage targets on the other side of the map when I had line of sight (which I'm accustomed to doing with ARs), but it seemed much less effective than when enemies were closer.

You need to lock on the target.
And destroer is lame.

The beam does have a finite range. The PPR while it does have a good range, cannot cross map the same way that say a Typhoon can.  Also don't forget about Incendiary ammo as well, works extremely well with the PPR.  The PPR is similar to the Harrier in that it is capable at low levels and becomes an absolute monster at high levels.

I agree with Kislitsin, Justicar is much better with PPR than Huntress.

Destroyer w clip extension
HSol with 7 sec AR and anti-shield built nades (very good at covering someones back and doesn't spend mel-gels)
TSent with cheese or "fair version" with warp ammo (primes and debuffs simultaneously, has better passives, much tankier)
Havoc with duration CB
QME w tac scan and cheese, HE with just cheese and combat drone, QFE (with either cheese or duration CB).
Ghost, GI, QMI (cuz lolfiltrators)
Prothy the Prothean with warp ammo (dat 1,1 global multiplier), AJA with offensive bubble and warp ammo, AA with warp or cheese ammo (no throw build)

All of them make better use of it (even at lvl 1) than huntress.

Huntress PPR is powerful just because her DC is the bestest and Lazor is awsome with warp ammo, no particular synergy. It's actually a loss of kit (cuz no use of her short cooldowns with any loadout, remind you her cloak doesn't boost weapon damage).
