Not worth it to skip cluster grenades. Why on earth would you skip cluster grenades? Skipping biotic charge would have been a hipster build (I've tried it, it's not terrible), but this is just a very bad and stupid build. Any build that leaves behind 21 spare points is dumb.

The idea behind this is to limit his abilities to just pull. To see if he can solo with a drell while only having pull spec'ed into. How is this not clear?

No, sadly not, my camera is so crappy indoors that I would've probably died infinite amounts of time trying to take a decent picture.
Also, I only tried it because Limbs suggested it, I liked the idea and I wanted to see how far I can get. I wiped on wave 6 devices the first time, but I had so much fun while doing that, that I tried again immediately.

There was a lot of running involved, that much I can say


EDIT: also I'm glad that common sense exists.

And in the next installment of dumb solos, is he going to leave his weapons unmodded? Is he going to use explosive rounds? Is he going to solo bronze using nothing but a hex shield to kill enemies?

You can't justify leaving 21 points unspent. That's not a challenge. That's just called boredom. Time to call it quits and move onto another game.

If it was on platinum, I certainly couldn't do it. But gold is easy, and anyone can do this solo. He's using very powerful weapons. It's just really strange that a person would deliberately choose to leave 21 points unspent. I once specced out of biotic charge on this character and actually did quite well, pull + cluster grenades is a nice combination.

not hard to do even with camera angle drop. taking away clusters is fine, but taking away lolscrubbioticcharge is impressive...  i disregard all vamgaurd solos because of noob biotic charge

-You are only allowed to spec into Pull. 
-You can use any weapons and any equipment. 
-You can fight any enemy on any map or you can set u/u/g. 
-You cannot cheese any hacks. 
-You must get at least 3 waves survived.

Bonus challenge: 10 waves survived 

I expect pictures.

This is the easiest challenge I have seen, you really need to place some restrictions on the weapons allowed. All you need to solo gold is an incendiary reegar, you don't need any powers. This character has great movement speed and excellent weapons damage. Lol, I can set it to something like White/Geth/Reegar for some ultra easy mode, all I need is a geth scanner and I can see all the enemies coming and melt them all in a fraction of a second, I'm done in 30 minutes or less. If the 10 waves survived was mandatory, then that would be a differnt story. But it's not. Easy solo.

Ideas to make it more difficult: not allowed to use reegar/harrier/lancer/talon/claymore/piranha/particle rifle/collector smg. Must set it to hazard glacier/collectors. Yeah...that would be very tough.

But why are we even discussing this? I never discredited the solo itself, just the act of leaving 21 skill points unspent, that's all. I'm ripping my hair out as I look at that build.

Now I am sadder.... Though I did just unlock the spitfire yesterday....
