A few. Regardless, I don't settle for garbage just because it's the best I can come up with at the moment.

We'll be the judge of that.

My head-cannon for the Crucible is that the Alliance had a pretty good idea of how the thing worked from the plans, they just weren't sure what the exact effect of firing it would be, other than massive destruction from whatever was in the blast cone/radius.

There's an idea that's been thrown around these forums that makes the crucible disable all of the Reapers kinetic barriers, making it possible to defeat them conventionally.Aside from making more sense than what we got in-game,it would have been far cooler. I wish they would have gone with that, this would have made your head-cannon possible t_skwerl.

Why wouldn't the Reaoers just run away when their shields failed? Independence Day has the same problem, of course. If we're going to rip off a movie, we need to pick a less stupid one.

Perhaps, like Sovereign, they've been stunned with a system overload?

I began raising my eyebrow when TIM wasn't in the Cerberus Base and we find out that in twenty minutes time, the Reapers conveniently conquered the Citadel and moved it to Earth.

The Priority: Earth mission was linear and brief, but it didn't really fall apart for me until after Harbinger struck me. The Citadel was disgustingly simple, random, and began opening up plot holes left and right. The TIM convo made me numb from how unoriginal (I was basically facing Saren, again) and contrived it was, and then the magic elevator...

Yeah, the take-over happening off-screen of all things definitely came across as...lacking. BW coming out later saying they had a cinematic in the works for this, at least, and stating it was left out due to 'pacing concerns' from what I remember...given what follows later, I find that hard to accept.

Prior to the big ol' bad knocking Shepards out - putting each and every one of them into the very same armour-model no matter which was equipped, how great! - I was looking forward to a nice second take of Shepard fighting her way through to the Council Chambers, seeing the aftermath of the Reaper-invasion on the station at large first-hand (maybe even something in the way of survivors? Resistance?)
Instead, we get a 'shifting maze' - which is neither a 'maze' nor 'shifting' at all, but a straight narrow path - the limping walk being quite annoying on subsequent playthroughs, to the point they may as well have made that entire section a cutscene. TIM being reduced to Saren 2.0 certainly did not help either, but hey, job's done, isn't it.

Nah, the end-game hasn't been dragged out long enough, so obviously a lift up to the 'Catalyst', which is now proclaimed a 'character', is required.

At the end of it all, I did expect BW to follow up with something to all this, as it was neither inspiring nor satisfactory, much less 'triumphant'. And EC changed precious little regarding this.

Eh the Reapers are too damn arrogant to retreat.

The Reapers staying put would be the least of that ending's problems.

I think Crucible overloading their shields is a little too bland a plot device to make for an epic conclusion.

I doubt there's a problem bigger than the Reapers themselves.

Antagonists aren't problems. They're necessities.

Depending on how they are presented and discribed, they can become a problem latter when resolving the plot.

After Anderson died. I thought that was a really well done scene but afterward things took a dive.

I didn't like the scene with Anderson, but that's mainly because I don't like Anderson.

I would have preferred a scene where you symbolically choose either TIM or Anderson and get your speech with them. I love the Paragon speech, but I hate having to suffer through a scene with a guy I don't like nor felt any connection at all with that has to come after it.

What is dislikable about Anderson?

So they're defenseless and unconscious? Ok, but as long as we're going that far why not just have the Crucible blow them up while we're at it? What problem is administering a coup de grace with conventional weapons solving?

Before I respond, I'd like to get a gauge on how he's perceived as likable.

I'd prefer defenseless and disoriented.  Still dangerous and somewhat capable of defending themselves.  But beatable.

... and capable of zipping across the galaxy to refresh?  Or are we contriving a way around that, too?

I'm a Paragon to the core.

Speaking of Paragons, and speaking of Anderson, I suspect Paragons like Anderson and Renegades dislike him.

Whatever works. I'd like your opinion to be honest though.
