There is only one Infiltrator on which you should even consider spending a few points in passives for Power Damage.

That is the Infiltrator with Recon Mine.

Asari Huntress says hi.

Not really, no.

The Power Damage boost you get from her Passive is negligible compared to what you get from her Cloak.

However, the Weapon Damage you get from her Passive can mean the difference between OSK Ravager on Platinum and not OSK.

Reason: Warp Ammo.

A cloaked Dark Channel, with max power damage bonuses, pretty much does all the work against a fresh Phantom, though, within seconds. It's so amusing to watch. Besides, the Reegar makes up for the lack of weapon damage bonuses anyway.

Speccing into Power Passives increases the DPS for your Dark Channel from 284.63
http://kalence.drupa...15!!..B5!E9CA3K

to 306.19
http://kalence.drupa...15!!..B5!E9CE3K

which is a 7.5% increase.

If you can notice a 7.5% DPS increase in a DoT power such as Dark Channel then I commend you on your superhuman powers of perception. :)

If you're using the stronger sniper rifles, weapon passives and headshot bonus are often overkill. If it doesn't change the number of shots it takes to kill most of your targets, there's not much point taking them on the SI.

The QFI and Shadow can also benefit from a focus in Power Damage.

It actually is a noticeable improvement vs. most enemies on Platinum. On Gold too, vs. enemies such as Phantom, Scion, Brute, etc.

The QFI

I played a little bit with Sticky Grenades and then got bored of it. Because it's not shiny like other Grenades. :S Anyway I'm tired of Grenades in general because Plat PUGs are full of TGI and AIU n00bs.

Shadow

Maybe, if you run a mostly SS build. But that wastes much of the Shadow's potential.

Thanks, I guess(?) lol

I think the gap in Dark Channel's DPS becomes more noticeable as you beef the Huntress up with all sorts of power damage bonuses. For me, at least.

Spec for Weapon Damage.

There was a better case for power damage on the SI before they lowered shieldgate, buffed snipers, and made better anti-shield ammo.

Actually it's the other way around mathematically.

Simply put, 1 more than 1 is 100% more, 1 more than 10 is 10% more, and 1 more than 100 is only 1% more.

I understand, but I don't understand.

I thought this thread was about Spec Ops for a second, then I realised it wasn't and was sad.

I'd say weapon damage. None of his abilities do particularly impressive direct damage, they're more for utility than damage output.

My SI is all about the power damage. Optimal or not, I still do it. If I want optimal, I'd use GI

just use a power amp and you'll be fine. go for weapons damage in his passives.
