If there would be any kind of balance, I'd guess that if Joker is to be a love interest, then the maleShep should have a no-party love interest as well.
I'm starting to wonder if that day1 DLC party member is a femShep love interest......

I did not read the entire thread, no. If it is Joker though it still ruins his symmetry idea. Then MaleShep has 3 sqaud mate LI's and FemShep has 2 Squad Mate LI's and a Crew Mate LI.I think that is more unlikely than having a diffrence in the ratio of human to alien romances across gender.

Can I stay with my old romance option? I know that Kaidan will be not companion in ME2 but I would prefer to not have romance/stay with old ones than have romance with lizardman or turtle ( even if I very like Garrus as a companion)

Agreed. Looking like I will be celebate this installment. I just hope that your love interest from ME1 has not moved on after believing something horribly tragic happened to you.

Really? Nice..while Im playing games like ME very fast ( just like shooters) maybe I will not miss a talks between my Shep and Kaidan, and I will be happy just with e-mails. And hope that companions/LIs from ME1 will play larger roles in ME3. To be honest, the only new companion I feel I will like to have in my team, is Sub Zero. Still, there's chance just for team with old friends ( my Shep, Tali and Garrus).
