Generally, freeing a grabbed teammate without missiles is the most satisfying.

Played as a Asari Vanguard, and my Stasis interrupted Phantom's sync-kill animation. I was surprised that this is even possible.

Lately, played with "some N7=180 guy" , and my Harrier saved his Demolisher from a Praetorian hug... just in the nick of time. Good thing I looked behind me.

My best savior moments are purely accidental anyway, so they kind of lack the satisfaction of being true badass.
But yesterday we had krogan getting revived with phantom jumping around, so I waited if he will get up right into sync kill and he did. Tech armor took care of her. I always remember that turian on Citadel...

I absolutely love hero moments like that!

Considering I run kits with Overload a bunch, the majority of my saves come from Overloading a baddy about to stomp a downed teammate. Otherwise, it's either a rocket or enough quick damage to make Banshees drop someone or kill a Phantom before her sword connects.

Probably my three favorite "unique" saves are:

1. Very early in the game's life with one of my original gaming crews I used to play with (all have since moved on save for me), my friend's engineer went down in the basement of White versus Geth. I was playing my Turian Sentinel and was on cooldown, so Overload wasn't an option for the pyro about to stomp her. So, I took a page from the Krogan Handbook of Warfare and went heavy meleeing into the thick of it, both to stagger that one pyro and try to distract the enemy while another friend ducked in to revive her. I was drunk and apparently sounding a bit like Gladiator over the mic, so that moment went down in friend history as an oft-referenced one after that. LOL

2. Similarly, the Turian Sentinel saved another with his mighty Chestbump of Salvation. BroJo had joined my party for a few matches and we decided to run two Paladins, one human engineer, and my TSent in a Geth/Glacier/Gold ROFLstomp of cry explosions. I was following BroJo around detonating all his snap freezes when he died literally at my feet with a geth trooper right there going straight into stomping mode. Yeah, not on my watch. Heavy meleed the trooper away, revived BroJo, then finished killing the trooper. Onward, pain train!

3. Was playing a Reactor/Cerberus PUG early in my Gold days. This Vocha had gotten pinned back up against a wall fighting a Phantom. I started closing distance as we both shot at her. Her health was whittled down to maybe one or two bars when she light meleed him to put herself into sync-kill mode. He was staggered from that and, back against a wall, had nowhere to go. I was right there and did the crazy - threw my body next to the Phantom and detonated my tech armor. She died, the Vorcha was saved, and then proceeded to follow me around the rest of the match like a new puppy. LOL

Honorable mention goes to Krogan saves. Those are equally fun. Had a match recently where Jeremiah died on the back stairs of Glacier. A Marauder was about to stomp him when my Krogan (either Soldier or Sentinel, can't remember which) heavy meleed the Marauder into oblivion, then stooped to revive Jer. And I mean it was last minute, the foot was coming down, Jer thought he was dead sort of last-second revive. He's got it on film somewhere; I remember he said he'd been recording so my glory had been captured for all to see.

Got another good save yesterday (and like my earlier examples, it was an idea I got from the forums, certainly nothing I came up with myself). Another giant space crab about to sync kill. I was in a game with three people who I think were new to the game (very low challenge scores) but seemed to be familiar with shooters in general. So the other two players are wailing on on the crab and I popped two thermal packs and let my Raider blast go in the crab's behind. Third squaddie saved. Woot.

These forums have been invaluable for this stuff. All sorts of things I wouldn't have come to on my own.

My favourite would be detonating a possessed abomination next to a praetorian mid synch kill. Killed my team-mate outright meaning they could be revived once the praetorian had dropped them. Oddly enough this was actually kind intentional, but I haven't been able to repeat it since.

Also, using cryo blast to freeze mooks mid stomp never gets old.

Hacking a Cerberus Turret pointed at a teammate, which then proceeds to kill the nearby Phantom also gunning for said teammate.

I had a real good one recently where I was actually on the receiving end. Started to work on a device objective in Rio, not paying enough attention, didn't notice the nearby group of Pyros until they were nearly on me. Just as I'm about to break off and run, in come Scorpion shots from halfway across the level! A teammate keeps them all staggered long enough for me to finish the objective and gtfo.

Was so shocked and amazed at that display of teamwork in a PUG that I really wished I had my mic plugged in to thank them.

My favourites are headshots, pet kills and melee.
I remember a pug game, where a Kroguard was about to get stabbed and I just slapped the Phantom away to death with my Krogan Sentinel and the pug yelled "Holy sh!t! Thank you Krogan brother, mwwraahh!" We headbutted a lot afterwards in that game.

Best one I can think of happened to me.

Got grabbed by husk and while stunned was shot to death. My teammate next to me revived me while the husk was still on me so fast that I managed to stomp it.

It's like nothing even happened.

yeah it was looping alright best you got out when you did had too wait till the host change got to me - get dead stay dead and wait for the others to exhaust out to get paid out for a failed mission...

I spawned into a Plat match, Wave 10 hack. Counter has "." this much to finish the hack, but I find all 3 teammates are bleeding/bled out. Pull out launcher, clear hack area, less than 5 seconds later, hack complete. Full extract on Wave 11. Hero time!
