Every time I try to log into the Dragon Age on my 360 I get this message: "Unable to access your online profile storage. The game has encountered an error." Does anyone know what this means (exactly) and how it may be correct?
Online Profile question.

I think most people run into this from time to time...
It seems to log in somtimes anyway, as I periodically get updates to my online account... Though the timestamp is frequently wrong... And it's not thorough...
Bioware seems oddly silent on a few situations currently related to Dragon Age... I'm sure this will all be solved eventually... Until then, enh...

I got that constantly until my GamerTag was linked to the email I use on this site. A standard e-mail request to DA Care resulted in Nathaniel cancelling an old EA account to free my GT. He needed codes to put the free dlc (Shale, DA Armor) on this acct. This ended the errors and got me pics from back in Nov. Could this be your problem?
There is also a fix for missing auth. codes for the free dlc.in promo pack 2 (Edge. Embri's etc. from flash game). This caused the same error msg. but also stopped people from playing offline Sound familiar? The fix was delete pp2 load item 2, delete and load 3. etc. etc. They must be kidding really. That message was like a daily pop-up reading We Suck.

I have the same problem too, since one week or so, my profile never update correctly. I always get the time out response from ea/bioware servers
I think it was sinde the spec lock patch(now I have that fixed, the specs).
So how can I fix this?=)
Thank you

The issue may or may not be related to the return to Osatagar extra content. It has some bugs and one of them is this particular issue. Another appears to be the loss of all in game content such as class specializations, and apparently the inability to even regain them.
I had this issue prior to downloading that content though and callled tech support about it, they claimed that I had an older profile associated with my email and needed to request that it be removed. I did that and still same issue, even before the download of the new in game content. Not sure really what is going on with their server, but you ccould at least try to see if some older account is associated with your email.

Hmm how/where can I see this, I mean it was working a week ago or so.
Also the specs unlock can be fixed easily with clearing the cache.

Here is another general question. Here on this forum when you go to your profile under your picture it says "up date status." what does this mean because when I click on it all I get is a blank line and a save and cancel option. What function does this serve?

Hi,
Thank you for contacting EA Technical Support.
I apologize for any inconvenience. I understand you are having trouble playing your game online.
We will need some more information to help locate the exact issue:-
Prior to this issue beginning, were you able to play online? And was there any change to your online setup? That may shed some light on what is causing this difficulty.
I would also request you to refresh your online connectivity through Xbox Live. The first thing you can do is to powercycle your modem. This is done by unplugging your modem from the power supply and letting it rest for about 10 to 15 minutes and then plugging it back in. During this time, you can reset your Xbox 360's time and date setting to the 11/15/2005 by following the below given steps.
· Press the Xbox Guide button on the controller to enter the Dashboard.
· Sign out of Xbox Live by pressing the X button.
· Select the System blade.
· Select Console Settings and press the A button.
· Select Clock and press the A button.
· Change the date to 11/15/2005 and press the A button to accept.
Combined, these steps may be able to refresh your console's connection to Xbox Live and resolve most, if not all of your connectivity issues.
Another thing you can do is to check the ports for Xbox Live. Connection issues typically are caused by one or more ports being blocked by a firewall, router, or even your Internet Service Provider to help maintain security. These ports are the doorways used to send and receive information between your computer and the server. First, try to bypass your router (if you have one) and see if the game can connect. If it does, then it means that the router itself may be blocking the needed ports for the game. If you are still unable to connect, the ports may be blocked directly by your Internet Service Provider.
The ports for Xbox Live are below. You may have to configure your router/firewall to have the game's ports open in order to connect to the servers properly. If you do not know how to configure your router, you can contact the manufacturer of the router for proper instructions. If you need to contact your ISP regarding these ports, make sure that they are open for both incoming and outgoing directions:
UDP Ports: 88 & 3074
TCP Port: 3074

Finally my character was updated, I did this two things:
-Reset router
-Unclick and click in the main options menu the send info/characters tabs.
After that load a savegame and I have my character, seems you ll need to it with every char.
Hope it helps.

Did you click/unclick those options too?

Posté 21 janvier 2010 - 08:59
I may be sounding really dumb but WHERE are those options located? In the actual Dragon Age game menu? Then yes. Are you guys playing with the 360 version or the PC version?

Well this is Dragon Age: Origins Xbox 360 Technical Support forum so I guess we all are playing the 360 one.
And yes those options are in the main menu before you start to play/load/start a game.

Well I helped you get the runaround there. When I asked for help it was something like: :Can someone please find out why Gamertag ....... will not link with the Dragon Age servers. the email I use is ...... but my EA acct will not let me add my GT as a persona. It says it is already in use..
Have you tried loggin into EA.com with your email and seeing if you have or can add your GT.? It takes forever sometimes but it would tell you if the Gamertag is linked to an old email like mine was. Did you have an EA account before? Sorry I got nothin else.
