My only question about this quest is, logically, when the girl discovered she was pregnant with the player's child after he was exiled, why didn't she simply have it aborted?
Or... do dwarves have no methods of terminating a fetus?

Mardy is a noble hunter. As such, under normal circumstances a male child would enable her to elevate her status. it may also be that she didn't consider that the exile would affect her pregnancy and subsequent birth.
