Got a couple friends interested in the duos. We tried our first one last night. And it happened to be the Enemy of My Enemy challenge. I surprisingly got my headshots before he did. I was utterly convinced he would get it before me. I was the FQI and he was the GI. I would have had the 75 sniper kills but I kept getting Sabotage kills. We got escort on wave 3 and double targets after that. The way we did it is the solo route. Start off by the car at the EZ, and stick to the corners of the map. Sabotage was invaluable for dealing with cannibals and Marauders. We would have had a faster time had I not effed up on wave 3 and gone down. Because of that we had play it safe on 7 and 8. Would have been about 5 minutes less or more if that hadn't happened. I know on wave 8 and 9 we had to separate cause we were getting pinched on the bridge. Was an awesome duo. First go too. Might do it again for a bit faster time.

I now have recording equipment, so going forward all these runs will be recorded. However, I went derpy and forgot to record this one. We want to give this one more shot, so I will upload the video for that when we get a chance to complete it.

Targets/Hack/Escort




26 days in the making, and countless attempts at this (only because I stopped counting at 30).  Wave 8 was just a killer every freakin' time.  Two Praetorians roaming that small map with a devilish knack for cutting off escape routes.   We both ending up respeccing our voluii and found some tweaks we rather liked.  Oddly enough, the best thing I did was to put CRYO AMMO on my little adept!
SilentStep is a man of infinite patience and good humor. 


REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO TRYING THE NEXT ONE - new is good.

even through the wave 8 obstacles! and it was a treat to watch your skill improve not only in spinzone but overall during our attempts. including watching out for my derpiness and making sure I didn't get too "stubborn" when I should be running!

We had 7 waves survived...very annoying, that I died because of a tripple- rocket- trooper attack!

But anyway, we did a solid job, I think!

Wave 10 = Devices

This one included an awesome wave 9 clutch from SilentStep, and me dead but not bled out before the extraction timer finished its count.   

Given the new changes, Pres, I think it counts?  Either way, we may do again for a better time and full extraction, as neither of us were at our best during this attempt.

After all that time on Spinzone, this one was a welcome romp!  Wow.  Never thought I'd say something like that about Gold GETH!!  

 

Which brings me to a cool thing about working on these duos - I think they've helped me take my game up a few notches.  It's noticeable enough that a few friends have commented!  So to anyone who lurks this thread but hasn't tried a duo yet - find a buddy and give them a whirl, I think you'll be surprised at the results and pleased at the fun time in game.
