Look who's back...

Series 1, Set 2

II. Still, We Hold the Line

27:56 - MeroNoir | HamleticTortoise

This is more of a trio than a duo, decoy is so useful :P I got my last gold medal during the wave 10 objective, and MeroNoir on the very last prime of wave 10, talk about Salarian efficiency :)

Series 2, Set I

Mission 2 - Whispers of Cerberus

27:19 - MeroNoir | HamleticTortoise

Dragoons vs. dragoons  smashing the accursed goons with their own weapons felt good. More notably, we managed to get 3WS on waves 7-8-9, which feels like a whole achievement on its own. Once we got into a rythm, not even double Atlases/double phantoms could dislodge us from the comm tower.

Set 9

Mission 2 - Eclipse

23:54 - MeroNoir | HamleticTortoise

To my great shame, I got downed by a sniping scion while heavy-melee celebrating in the EZ just as time expired  Good thing we only needed mission successful  Fun challenge with a pretty unusual loadout for these two kits.

Series 2, Set I

Mission 2 - Whispers of Cerberus

34:44 - Lenloumas | yyrael

I managed to only get sync-killed by a Phantom once, which I think is really impressive when you consider the number of times I ALMOST got sync-killed! Phantoms are my greatest foes, so CQC against Cerberus doesn't agree with me, but ah well. In general, we held our position pretty well. And Lenloumas outscored me by a wide margin, as he is wont to do in every match of ours. Still, I'm pretty happy with the overall outcome, even if it took longer than it probably should have. :)

Series 1, Set 1

II. Power In Creation

27:55 - MeroNoir | HamleticTortoise

Getting the necessary gold medals is the hard part in this otherwise pretty smooth challenge. Fun biotic duo, stasis is actually almost as good against geth as it is against Cerberus!

Series 2, Set 7

I. Turians

29:30 - MeroNoir | HamleticTortoise

8 waves survived, and then we go and miss extraction  fat Turians don't run, they leisurely stroll to the EZ :P Yet another really fun challenge, the combination of great CC and straight damage really punishes the slowly advancing geth.

Set 9

I. Blue Suns

34:08 MeroNoir | HamleticTortoise

This is one is quite straightforward, but the low dps from the guns just makes it a bit of a slog in the later waves. Falcon basically nullifies marauders at least, and the vindicator... hmmmm.... nope, got nothing :P I actually had to use hardcover in order to land headshots at longer distances.

Series 1, Set 4

I. Eden Prime

26:49 - MeroNoir | HamleticTortoise 10WS

Lucky with the objectives and the wave 9 primes' spawn. We got pizzas on wave 10, and burned all our remaining op packs delivering it, and nuked everything on cleanup :) Krysae on the TSol specced for CS spam provides superb crowd control, which basically meant we could lock down any unit at will. Since the requirements are a bit unclear for this one, MeroNoir also took the Carnifex along to score the 20 headshot medal, and I made sure to get 20 headshots and 50 tech kills.

Ah, if only Nihlus had branched out to this thread from the solo challenges one, galactic history might look very different now :D

Series 2, Set 4

Mission 2 - Bitter Sweet

35:32 - MeroNoir | HamleticTortoise

We went above and beyond the call of duty for this one actually we didn't want to fail for lack of medals.

Thematically sound, and interesting to build a vanguard as a weapon platform with increased mobility. Even pizzas can get tricky on London with the wrong spawns.

Set 6

Mission 2 - Shadow of A Kabalim

32:00 MeroNoir | HamleticTortoise

More Krysae for us! Turians on Condor! No medigel allowed! Lots of running around!

The no medigel stipulation didn't really bother us this time, though of course it made us very cautious. Still, Krysae and Nightshade nullify mooks, and the Cabal is a decent tanker, even though off-host her mobility is somewhat impaired.

Series 1

Set 3

Gangs of The Terminus Platinum

30:52-ex-Clusum | The_Doctor46N7

The time really sucks, but Clusum was synched at the start of 7 wave so i had to solo(no missile used). Also, game trolled us with devices on 3 wave and targets on 10 with 4 rockets left so we had to kill two targets only with a weapons(just to have two rockets for clean up) which was a nightmare on condor with 2 primes 2 bnshees and 2 phantrolls on the pitch.

III. Bonus Challenge: Last Enemies Standing

35:22 - MeroNoir | HamleticTortoise

I am not in the habit of giving advice to the Illusive Man, but giving swords to nemeses might have made them a trifle more dangerous to approach :P We derped pretty badly early on, but recovered to complete the 3WS requirement on waves 5-7. Wave 7 is actually pretty dangerous for this challenge, so it felt really good to manage it! ^_^

Fun and hectic match, though the Raptor remains underwhelming.

Series 2, Set 7

Mission 2 - Spectre Origins

25:22 - MeroNoir | HamleticTortoise

On our first try :D We bunkered down in the lab, the Justicar holding the bottom entry with the help of the bubble, the SI patrolling the upper balcony with the help of the Venom, and held our ground until pressed by double atlases in the late waves. Thanks game for throwing us devices on wave 10 <_< but 12 missiles took care of that as well

A post a day keeps the boredom away :)

Series 2, Set 6

Mission 1 - Void

22:12 - MeroNoir | HamleticTortoise

The killstreak was a non-missile one, on wave 7 MeroNoir's Valkyrie just caught five enemies in one glorious biotic explosion

As is often the case, wave 8 was the toughest: while Scions are not that much of a problem on glacier thanks to the reduced LoS, they become a problem when they block doorways while you are being pursued by a pretorian (or two).

All in all, a really fun challenge that can go south really fast, but that feels really rewarding to complete ^_^

Thanks Clusum, these were a lot of fun to do eventhough some of them were quite a challange for me and it took us quite a while to finish them, but feels good to have done them all and most of them on the first or second try, some of them took a few more tries but these are a bit of a challenge.

Seeing all those duos in one post makes one appreciate the investment of time and effort all the more. Well done, guys.

Are you gonna do the other series too?

Nothing planned, and I would need a break from these type of challenges for a while :)
