I haven't encountered an error while playing the game, but just today (after hours of playing yesterday, exploring various 'starting zones' etc) I am coming across random - what I want to call - loading freeze.  It happened right after the fight in the bar when I got my fifth party member (started as human noble). I'm being vague a bit here because I don't want to spoil the game for those that have just started playing the game.  But nonetheless, I I removed a party member, selected the new member and went back into game only to have it not respond, at all.  Sound etc, it was like the game was 'frozen'.  Then again it happened on the Mage character I was playing with, right when I finished talking to the King with Duncan, when I was allowed to explorer  the camp, the screen was black and 'loading' was forever in the corner, sound playing in the background.

Now for my specs:

Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit SP2
Intel Xeon X5364 3.0Ghz (2 processors, thus 8 cores)
6 GB Ram
ATI 4870 HD

Overall a rock solid system with a "Windows Experience Index" Score 5.9

I'll be moving on to Windows 7 later, but overall this system has been performing stellar - updated etc, completely clean. 

I can quit out of the game doing ctrl+alt+del and then shutting down the process, reload the game from a save and continue on my marry way.  The freeze though seems like a bug - and before anyone jumps on my back about this being a perfect game etc, look it happens, and frankly patches can be dolled out.  Systems specs are different from one computer to the next etc, its amazing how well developers do put out quality games these days with what is out there.  And there was a bug in KOtOR and NWN 1 & 2, so I expect things will crop up.  

Also, for awhile I have noticed a lot of 'failure to connect to server' pop ups while playing yesterday.

Yea, this is that "memory leak" that seems to be happening with many people look around in the forums about that
