Damn BSN!

Okay, what I mean to write first was:

How many people here on BSN play(ed) as a FailShep???

Did you regret it midgame but wanted to continue?

Did you install Citadel DLC and gave a party to (what) 3, 4 Squadmates?

Did you even survive the Suicide Mission?

Do you even have Mass Effect?

Why are you even here?

What outcomes did you choose when playing as FailShep?

I'll keep an eye on this one. It better have some content other than random rants or I'll lock it.

Ha! Sorry. My Keyboard and mouse aren't specific for BSN, they use other configurations, so I must've pressed something wrong. :?

You accidentaly posted early or something?

On topic, what exactly is a "failshep"? Is it where you lose everyone in me2?

Yuuup. But keep Shepard alive in Suicide Mission(or not).

Also, I shall include if you kill Wrex in the first one.

Well, only a few of my Shepards got all the way through with the absolute minimum number of casualties - for the others, I deliberately set it up for at least a few squadmates or NPCs to die somewhere along the line for the sake of variety.

If you mean deliberately getting everyone killed that I possibly can, then no - I couldn't make that happen without playing Shepard as either a complete jerk, an incompetent moron, or both, and the ME trilogy takes up too much time for me to want to do that.

I had a ME career that was to be my designated Fail!Shep, but I quit playing midway through it because I didn't really see much potential for "epic fail" consequences in any of the choices Shepard could make through ME1 or 2.

So I changed the goal from "failing" to "trolling" -- not playing to lose, but trying to cause the most damage possible and jerking people around at every turn while somehow not letting the **** hit the fan, rinse & repeat.

I also have a Whimp!Shep who never takes any interrupts or highlighted-red/blue dialogue. Still, the result isn't "failure."

I think the only true Fail!Shep is one that botches the ME2 final mission, but even then, they still get the job done.

Does it count if you don't use any imports or Genesissies? 'cause a brand new ME3 Shep is pretty fail. imo. (It was my first playthrough, wanted to see how things were different between that and imports.)

Pretty damn fail yeah, but not totally. Even just off the top of my head:

-Mordin alive
-Tali alive
-Jacob alive
-Destroy Base

More like 'mediocreShep'. Still able to get full range of options at the end*, but the whole tone of it feels different to me.

*Well ok, can't have Rannoch Peace..

It was pretty bad. No Kirrahe, no Conrad, No Kasumi, Zaeed, Grunt, Jack, Legion... terrible.

Ah, but that is a fail when killing almost everyone in ME2

You people play on XBOX or PS3??

You could download and import a save from MassEffectSaves if you don't have time/patience to play trough the other games again.

In order:
Yes. Adept Neutral Male Shepard.
No. Regretted it in ME1 when Ashley shot Wrex, and kept playing. Really want to stop now though.

Um.. yes but not with the Failshep. Not yet. Unless you mean whether only 4 people showed up: I invited Garrus, Miranda, Tali, Kaidan and Wrex, so that's almost only 4.

*cough* Not the first time. Garrus was busy calibrating even though he survived escorting the crew when I jumped, so Shepard died.
Yes.
Some outcomes:
Padok Wiks gets to live.
Never got the opportunity to tell Ash that Jack died, so she shouldn't be jealous.
Tali survived without loyalty and apologised later.
Garrus pretends as though he was on Feros, Noveria, etc even though he was never there. Those are the only two ME2 squaddies.
Miranda got splashed. Some... "people" actually would consider that a good thing. Hmpf.
Archer had to put David down.
People started questioning Shepard's intelligence only when the Rachni breeder was allowed to live. I'd like to think if he'd sided with the Geth (without knowing Legion), they would've mutinied.

... at least I got to keep Spectre status cause of Anderson, right?

-Kirrahe is an optional sidemission (regardless of it taking place on Virmire)
-Conrad is an optional sidemission
-Kasumi was DLC anyway
-Zaeed was DLC anyway
-I'll give you Grunt
-I'll give you Jack
-I'll give you Legion

'Pretty bad' and 'terrible' are two different things. I'd go with 'pretty bad' at worst.

I don't know if I would call it "failshep" ( for me anyways). The only way I would call it failshep is picking refuse. I have done several playthroughs where I have every character killed that can be killed and still end up with the best ending( high ems destroy). I did this same playthrough with low ems where the doos on the Normandy never opened(below 1750) So much "heroism" in these playthroughs

In one playthrough with the Citadel dlc, I had only Samantha, Steve, T'soni, edi, James and Joker. It was a quiet, empty party.

Here is what I normally do when I want everyone dead

ME1
Kaidan is killed on Virmire

ME2
Jacob killed doing vent
Garrus and Kasumi die fighting the human reaper
Grunt dies as 2nd fire team leader
no one is sent back to escort the crew so they all die

After the suicide mission I recruit Zaeed just to have him die at the end(choose to save the workers for this to happen)

The rest are all loyal and going to ME3

ME3
killed Mordin
shot Ashley protecting Udina
Thane gets stabbed
Samara kills herself
I choose the geth over the Quarians causing Tali to commit suicide and Legion is dead for uploading the code
Kill Wrex on the Citadel
Miranda dies since I didn't tell her about Kai Leng
edi gets fried when I choose destroy
Steve died in London because I didn't visit him 3 times on the Citadel
I did not do the from ashes dlc so Javik wasn't part of the squad
With Jack I didn't do Grissom Academy and killed her on Chronos when she is a phantom

I had 49 names on the wall(Anderson in the middle) Zaeed and Kasumi were dead but their names were not on the wall for a total of 51 dead

I did the same playthrough again with low ems
James and Liara were killed by Harbinger and femshep is dead
This gave me 54 dead with 4 names not shown on the wall

No Wrex.
No loyalty perks.

Also, things being optional does not change that the game is lesser without them.

Not necessarily, but you need to find the time to play muultiple playthroughs at the same time. That way, a terrible FailShep can be followed up by the greatest Citadel DLC experience ever.
The contrast is phenomenal.

You can also do From Ashes and take the "See the Memory Shard" , then Javik says that when the mission is over, he will go to the Graves of his companions and sacrifice himself :wizard:
