What two races does BSNers think they could live without in the next ME?

Since ME1 I was facinated by the Hanar and in ME2 Thane intensified this facination while at the same adding one for the Drell. If we ever get to see Kahje I know the two races will be properly fleshed out so I don't want them to get the boot this early in the franchise.
My top 2 "get the boot" would be:
1)Reapers/Asari=I know BW might have asked this question in order to see which races need more spotlight or which to include in the playable races roster but if I have to deal with the reapers again I think I might just quit the series. They're history now so keep them for the Codex. If reapers are not a viable choice then Asari would be my next pick for #1.
2)Geth/Raloi=I love the Geth but the most important ending (IMO obviously) has them dead so I would reluctently say "goodbye" to them if I had too.The Raoli are tied with the Geth because we literaly see nothing about them in game aside form a news report. The fact that they might already be extinct by the time Shep deals with the reapers is also a fact that weighed heavly on my decision.

For example, Turians would be much better if they would look more like this:

Hanar would look better like this:

Krogan would look better like this:

Asari would look better like this:

Elcor would look better like this:

Vorcha would look better like this:

etc.
The point is to have really diverse sizes and profiles instead of "20 humans in fancy costumes" as "different alien races".

All races introduced in ME Trilogy should stay in MEU. But I believe many of them need re-design. Too many of them look humanoid. Some have rather ridiculous and funny proportions and looks... I think re-design is really needed for most of the races.

The thing is youre not going to get that in these games. Each of those creatures would require a completely different skeleton and physics to work within a game setting. Way too costly. Many of the races run on human animations, which is why humanoid form is good. Also they need to be able to hold a gun or armor. Races like elcor and hanar need their own unique animations, which the first game didnt even show. If you have 20 races like that which each have their own unique animations, its a nightmare to develop.
Also, If you had those species replacing the old species, this wouldnt be ME anymore, in any form. It would be unrecognizable. You might as well start a new IP.

Why are you trying to kill the Mass Effect Universe and ruin our favorite races?

Costly and challenging, yes. But the impart on the atmosphere and visual part of the game would be awesome. None of these races should be collossal, sizes from race to race may differ not too much. But I believe that completely different forms, which perfectly correspond to the races' ideas are really needed.
As for giving them armor and weapons - this is not more challenging than arming the current Elcor, Hanar, or Rachni.

I prefer alien races to be alien races, not a human cosplay.

Mass Effect will always have humanoid aliens for practical purposes and to better connect with the player, deal with it.

In addition to the practicality of animation costs and space, in a setting of scifi space opera like ME, you need a certain amount of familiarity. Thats why starfish aliens like hanar are intresting, but they should not be the constant rule in that setting.
I for one cant look and point on a salarian and krogan, and in any way say "thats a human in a costume". I can do that with asari and quarians tough, and I agree its kinda stupid.

Seival. those wouldnt work, as I already said they would be unrecognizable. It would be a new IP if you changed any of the old races into those.... things. As for new races, some of them might be ok, but not for the old.
Well, they might decide to revamp MEU. Keep the main ideas, but change and improve the visual style. They did it twice to DA series already, so I see no problem here. And BioWare are known for capability of making very challenging things.

Yes, improve. Not change completely. Thats a whole different can of worms.
Btw if you like a space game with diverse aliens, you should check out Star Control 2:The Ur-Quan Masters, if you havent already. Its an oldie, but goodie.

Yes, a whole different can of worms. But not an invalid one. Personally I hope for most races visual revamp. I believe that only Humans, Salarians, Quarians, and Geth should remain as they are - more than enough humanoid races which look very good.

If some other sci-fi franchise would make many intelligent alien races without "human cosplay", that would definitely be that franchise's advantage over Mass Effect. But I don't recall any announced game with such feature. And I prefer BioWare to do that first... Maybe not in NME, but in new IP. But NME is more preferrable.

They have enough on their plate as it is and you want to strech their resources? So glad you're not part of any development team of a successful company. And I prefer BioWare to do that first... Maybe not in NME, but in new IP.
