I love facing all powerful biotics as a simple solider, it makes me chuckle when I take them down with only a rifle.

What i'd like to see is some mean jeddi yoda shiz with biotics.

where like this young asari trains her biotics and instead of tiny green alien dude for a trainer. her master is like a leviathan. and like the leviathans imbue all their power to this asari. allowing her to split planets and stuff. now datz sum shiz wana see! haha

if pepz would say imba! i'd say fuk yeah!!

I'm not really all that impressed by Biotics. They don't seem much of a match for artillery, tanks and air and space support. And in the end, serious wars are going to be won in space.

So wars are going to be won by the economy, as per usual.

Apart from wars against synthetics.

I always find human males look pretty weird with biotics - can't put my finger on. They seem to fit women so much better visually while big guns and macho armor always looks pretty ridiculous on women - even Ashley.

I cannot imagine Kaidan without biotics.

Without biotics could you think of a single adjective to describe Kaidan without describing his enthnicity or his appearence? The dude is the invisible man... they should have given him tactical cloak instead.

Kaidan can be defined by his Paragon type of morality and openminded attitude (as opposed to Ashley's suspicious/isolationist attitude). I guess that might have something to do with his biotic storyline too, since he came to these conclusions because of guilt from killing Vyrrnus.

He is pretty dull though.

edit: Wait, you mean a visual adjective. Nevermind.

It's the same problem with black Kaidan. Bioware use biotics as a crutch whenever they can't think of anything interesting to do with a human character and it rarely works.

You mean just Kaidan or all biotics? Because there are quite a few biotics and they're pretty interesting despite that (except Jacob).

Human characters with biotics particularly human males. Biotics don't define Miranda and Jack as personalities. I just wish bioware would stop using biotics as a shorthand way to substitute for inadequate character development.

Yeah, I agree there. Although I can excuse it, since it was their first game. Maybe since Biotics were still new in their minds, they mistakenly latched on to it having character potential in and of itself.

Kaidan doesn't exactly fit an archetype. Jack and Miranda do. And out of the two Virmire Survivors, Ash is more colorful- for better or worse, you can file her under "suspected racist", religious, kind of tomboy-ish chick who plays soccer and joins the marines (not that she plays soccer.. she just fits the archetype).. Things you can build more story off of. Then again, they're both very similar in ME3. She's not as colorful there.

Biotics, mages and Jedi are always nerfed in games to make the other classes seem relevant.

There's got to be a way to balance it all. First step would be changing the environments a bit (not making it so blatantly cover based, for one), and having more enemies and obstacles to play around with (maybe that wasn't as feasible on PS3/360, but it is on new consoles). That at least would give the illusion that biotics are powerful (even if they're not under the hood). That way you could make more use of area-of-affect powers and crowd control.

Biotics and Jedi aren't really on the same page lorewise. Jedi are much more powerful.

Biotics might have some fancy abilities but unlike Jedi they can't deflect or dodge bullets, they can't use magical powers to heal themselves, they can't use their abilities to predict the future, and they become exhausted if they use their biotics often. Also some of the stronger force-users have combat abilities that would be far beyond anything a biotic was capable of. Luke Skywalker for example uses the force to crush an Imperial Walker like a tin can in one of the Expanded Universe novels. A biotic would not be able to duplicate that feat.

Lorewise biotics are much easier to kill by non-biotics than Jedi are by non force-users. No gimping is necessary. Bullets will them just as quickly as any other man. (or woman)

And lets not forget Galen Marek from The Force Unleashed, who brought down a Star Destroyer.

The Mary Sue known as Galen Malek is not canon as far as I'm concerned. I pretend he doesn't exist in the lore. :)

Mainly because the writers of the Force Unleashed games took a dump on the characters and story of the original trilogy. Lucas should have exercised a little quality control with the EU.

But that all being said, you are right that no biotic would be able to do this.
