BB level 4 is a no brainer ? I never tested 4b (90°->110°), which can be good rushing a spawn. IIRC, there was a bug with this evo which was fixed.

I don't use it as either - I use it as a stagger power.  And exploding blades means twice as many staggers.  Three enemies approaching you, you can take out one with the first Claymore shot, fire BB to stagger and hide your reload, take out another with the 2nd Claymore shot.  The blade explosion will stagger the 3rd enemy again (and maybe finish off the 2nd if you didn't quite kill him), allowing you time to either reload cancel and shoot him, or punch him in the head.

Okay, you've convinced me.  Not about explosive baldes...I was already
sold on that a long time ago.  But this description has convinced me to
shelve the Harrier or PPR I normally run on my BatSol and give the
Claymore a go.

BBlades have a target limit of 3.  Bat soldier's effectiveness at spawn rushing has more to do with Inferno Grenades.

Also LoL to whoever said they are the worst grenade in the game.  Not even close.  And regardless, even a bad grenade better than most powers.

Just played 2 games with him this morning.  The explosive stagger stagger ftw.  Fun kit.  Love those headless Ravagers.

OP, anyone who suggests Bleed is a blight on galactic purity. Explosive FTW.

And since I know you also frequent the SP forums, let me just say that Ballistic Blades is number one on my list of powers I wish I could bring over to the campaign. Too bad I'm not a mustard race haxor. :(

Charge venom, run into group of enemies, release venom , fire BB, lob inferno, BB explode, group of enemies are dead. Bonus style points for heavy melee (or tripple baseball bat swing) on prime/atlas/banshee instead of running right away to next group of enemies.

Fav kit/combo atm.

Both venom and BB allow easymode falcon punches too.

Oh yes, falcon punch ends the whining again!

Bleed damage is inconsistent, and over too long a period of time because almost every enemy is dead by the time they run their course.

Like scions and praetorians, especially the possessed ones. They also benefit greatly from double stagger.
The long dot effect is also the reason why inferno grenades are the worst in the game.

They're not great for taking down groups of mooks quickly, compared to Arc, Lift, or Cluster grenades (or even Frags).  But they are unquestionably the best grenade in the game for bosses, especially multiple bosses.  A Krogan Soldier can do over 8000 armor damage over the course of 8 seconds with a single Inferno Grenade.  Hit two bosses with the same grenade, and you're doing over 2000 DPS over an extended period of time, in addition to whatever you can do with your gun.  Most bosses, if you just drop their shield/barrier and hit them with 2 Inferno grenades, you can practically walk away and just let them die.

And let's not even talk about the ridiculous glitchy damage you can do if you use Incendiary Ammo too.
