I enjoy the forums, I enjoy the community. But sometimes coming to the forums is like attempting to swipe honey from a swarm of angry bees. It might be worth it, but you will suffer.

So very true.

As for my personal biggest fear for DAI, I would say I'm most worried about exploration feeling like a chore. I'm hopeful I will be pleasantly suprised.

My biggest fears...

Cassandra is a straight LI only.

I'm afraid the developers could get overwhelmed with the strategy or keep building mechanisms and it overshadows some classic RPG elements.

Annnnnnnnnnd I'm afraid they could focus to much on older characters being in and making cameos (that might not even be there because of the choices you have made) instead of focusing on new characters and new situations.

To be honest I am not really that nervous about it. Gaider has wrote some of my favorite parts of origins. Also I think because DA 2 was disappointing in a lot of aspects (maps being reused and so on...) they have learned from those mistakes and are trying to take the best from both games.

You do realize the game is about the fade opening up all over the world. Blood mages are defiantly going to be in and with a vengeance.

I have realistic fears then. But i was talking about specialization options for us, i failed to mention it.

I would like to see new specializations, not the same old ones.

Especially for Mages, that always have to deal with 2 of them being Blood Mage-Spirit Healer, leaving 1, possibly 1 more for everything else.

I watched an interview with Adam Sesler (sp?) and they stated that you could use Blood Magic again but that it will be  something that will have repercussions. (With party members? Idk..)

I agree with you... I hope they have changed the skill trees up.

oh it will be Origin exclusive . It will never be on steam imo. I'm not against it being on steam someday, I'm convinced EA won't allow it.
More fears... It'll lack the elligance of DAO. It won't feel like DAO. The fans missed that with DA2.

I don't really have any fears... except for maybe all my potential romance options being crazy and/or dying or leaving again. Fun times in DA II and ME3.

Joking aside, I have a good amount of faith in this game. I'm not worried. They've taken the feedback from DA II to heart, hopefully. It wasn't a completely broken game, but it had a lot to improve and therefore we have a lot to hope for.

This. The BSN doesn't have a lot of optimism

As long as they allow me to play a gay character, and don't give Orson Scott Card anymore work, I'm satisfied.

Other decisions might irk me, but they won't stop me from playing.

My biggest fears are that my Warden will not return, or he will become something that he is not(like if his actions in DA:O are not taken into account) or Morrigan will not be affected by her time with the Warden. Also that the events of the story will unfold the same way no matter what like DA:2, I mean really, Hawke could of killed Merideth at any time...

Orson Scott Card did something for BioWare?

Hmm...

In no particular order:

1. Heavy difficulty spikes.
2. Game/immersion breaking glitches (see Aria's speech in Omega DLC)
3. Cassanda won't be waifuable.
4. Rushed and/or depressing ending.
5. Too much autodialogue.
6. Shortage of sidequests.
7. Any reference to that Monty Python skit. You know what I'm talking about.
8. Too much backtracking.

To reveal my lack of originality, I guess my greatest fear as well is that this will be the first Bioware game I've played that I didn't enjoy.

After that, I guess my greatest fear is that Bioware will stop trying to be ambitious in its attempts in telling stories after the divisive reactions to DA2 and ME3. Fortunately at the moment that does not seem likely, but one always has their concerns. And I guess for clarification I must admit that aside a few exceptions, I never thought DAO to be that ambitious or innovative in the story it was telling.

Ancilliary comic, back when Origins was released.

1) Dialogue-based roleplaying getting neglected in favor of an open world with no more depth or diversity than a puddle.

2) Binary choices, of the 'shoot the puppy/save the puppy' variety.

1) Multiplayer, especially forced multiplayer

2) A forced "bittersweet ending" that forces the Inquisitor to die/become a monster (literal or figurative) in order to "win" the game

3) "Choices" that ultimately go nowhere.

4) An incredibly short single player game.

5) Sudden, inexplicible personality changes in past characters.

This too.

This so much this, it had to be the worst fetch quests and game mechanics I have ever played, honestly how did they not see how awful it was.
