Not exactly the biggest fan of Asari but I'll have to go with Tevos. Smart, chill and probably the best looking Asari in game. Would hit that with the fury of a thousand suns.

Way ahead of you.

Initializing Lazarus 2.0 ...
Man, Lance Henriksen's voice is so badass. He needs to be in MEnot4.

I'm curious what the factors are behind Vasir's mild popularity on the BSN.

Is it become she's a 'badass'? Is she a 'badass' who 'gets the job done'?

It's because she's willing to do whatever it takes for a mission. She's a Spectre, so she's obviously very skilled, and she is very resourceful and clever. Her taking a hostage was brilliant. The only problem is that she's dealing with a guy who's perfectly willing to kill a hostage (or 10). Plus, if you play an uber-Paragon Shepard, she gives you a good speech on why you're full of ****. Renegade makes it appear forced.

No she really doesn't.

She neglects to realize that while Shep does work with Cerberus he/she isn't doing their dirty work like she is for the SB. Shep's not the one dragging around husks and experimenting on them while she is blowing up buildings full of civilians for the SB.

If anything Shep's using Cerberus while the SB is using her. So hell yeah my Shep'll presume to judge her. It's one thing to work with the SB it's quite another to be his attack dog. (My Shep had no issues working with the SB in ME1 and even gave him a copy of the data after all it was thanks to the SB's info that he even got Tali (went the Wrex route and then picked up Garrus).)

Hear, hear.

All this praise for Vasir is making me puke. Hell just thinking about her is making me puke. Aw damn it....

Anyway my rankings:

1. Samara
2. Liara
3. Shiala-Benezia (tie)

I also like Aria but she could be knocked down a peg. And special mention to the MP Justicar for realizing there are other things to wear in combat besides that leather jumpsuit.

Never understood the Aria love myself. Her "badassness" is so forced and cheesy that Stallone cried when the game came out.

This so much

My first thought when I saw her was "Lady I put down much nastier slime than you before, stop acting like I'm gonna lick your boots and praise their taste"

Well, the badassery seemed justified when we were told about it as being on top of the food chain of a massive hub of crime syndicates for 300 years should indicate she must be good at it.

However the comics/books and Omega DLC was godawful to her character as when she arrived on the station it made her a slobbering idiot incapable of all the scheming and planning she was supposedly superb at.

It would have been better if they had kept her in Purgatory just telling Shepard to do stuff as the completely in control criminal mastermind. That or give her more than a subverted scene of awesome showing that she is a vital threat to anyone and everything if she puts her mind to it.

I loved Enyala for speaking out loud what I always thought about Mirandas jumpsuit.
"Does Cerberus really let you **** around in that outfit? "
It's even better with Jack around.

That's just it, though. I won't consider you or anyone a badass "because they said so". What I saw of her was incompetence and high school drama throughout the game. Even Cerberus, when taking her base had to lure her out, couldn't just kill her presumably because of how tough she is. Otherwise, the only thing that impressed me about her is how can someone so bad at it build and then control a criminal empire. Conrad would probably make a better boss for that gang, in light of his superior intellect. I get the same vibe from both of them ^

Never was a fan of the Asari in general.  I'm kind of with Gianna Parisini in her opinion of them, except I feel more strongly about it.

There are two, however, that I like.  Aethyta, for having some common sense.  Samara, for actually believing in something as opposed to the wishy washy nonsense Asari tend to indulge in.  For that matter, Aethyta is like that too, but her code is less about justice and more about practicality.

Samara was a real life warrior monk.  She wasn't the immature whiny little Asari brat joining a merc band we always see.  She was a real warrior with a real cause, who ate, slept, and breathed battle.

Well, to be fair, I guess I liked Liara best, but she was a main character.  I assume we're talking about secondary characters here.

While I can appreciate that one line, I just couldn't like Enyala at all.  She was a narcissistic, serial killer **** of the highest order.  The more she talked, the more I knew she badly needed to be shot in the face with an M-98 Widow, a service I performed gratis for the galaxy.  It was most satisfying.

Agreed.  I would've like to have had a renegade interrupt at the beginning of ME2 that included killing the hell out of her batarian guard that threatened me, and then sticking a gun in her face and explaining to her that I don't give two ****s about her only rule on Omega.

I didn't like her at all.

It was cool seeing Miranda throw her across the screen like she did
