Yes, I was thinking about this yesterday. It really pisses me off! It's the lowest of lows from pugs and clearly means they are in it to leach, I won't kick them but I'm not reviving them either. They can eat crap!

If they are hardcore leeching (hide and bleed out so they don't get autokicked) I park on them and revive until they do get kicked.  If they are what I think of as a soft leech (still leeching hard by not trying but at least hitting enough buttons that it seems like they are trying if you're not looking) and I happen to notice, I will kite stuff to them for the lols.

But I don't have and will never have the BOTB banner (zero interest in challenge grinding and even less interest in soloing) so it's rather a moot point, for me.  Just throwing the idea out there.

Generally leeches don't bother to even equip gear to remove so I never see it happen.

That's a battle cry I want before a game , and it represents the spirit of the ME multiplayer.

I didn't see anyone unequip, they usually come naked to a game if they want to leech experience and credits.

Stuff happens when I enter a lobby with BoTB

(mostly diffuculty being upped or players switching from their lvl 18 to their lvl 3)

because of my challenge score it usually happens no matter what banner I have on

funny because I;m a scrub who plays a buttload and is persistent

i use hero of the last days because it looks cool. i see no negative reactions. my n7 level and challenge points tell everything, i guess.

I've never seen players unequip anything. What I do see is 95% of pugs not using any gear bonus/weapon mods/consumables/equipment on platinum. They're completely unfamiliar with the game and are useless, idiotic noobs if they think they can play platinum without weapon mods or equipment. That has nothing to do with me or my banner, it's just that they're extremely stupid. Pugs suck so much, they continue to surprise me every day. I'm left wondering why they're even playing this game. If you're too dumb to realise that you need to equip some decent equipment, it's a good idea to stop playing the game altogether. I really wish they would. Surely they can't be having fun playing like this.

Never seen it happen, even when I was using BotB. Now I use some of the alternates, depending on my mood.

Going back to the beginning with an alt account made me remember what it's like: you barely have ANY consumables or good gear. Made me more sympathetic to low level pugs not gearing up.

Even though I've got BotB I don't feel worthy enough to wear it (or Lone Wolf) -- a couple of gold solos over an hour each only says I'm dogged.

It's a tiny bit annoying. Usually, it has nothing to do with my banner (Nomad) and more to do with my N7 and Challenge points.

"Guys! He's got an N7 over 4,000! 20,000 CP! Let's unequip errthang AND increase the difficulty!"

I find myself feeling compelled to drag them to glory regardless.  Though if I'm on my alt account I still gear up as best I can, I often find that I don't have anything worthwhile for the armour slot.

I use the alternate Mathemagician banner with the quarian lady shooting an incinerate on it. Sometimes I use Death Guard cause I like that one. But I don't really have any of the fancy banners and I can't say I've ever seen pugs unequip after seeing my banner.

I have no problem with a newer accounts not gearing up.  I have a problem with the pugs coming into lobby and seeing 2-3 players with high challenge points and taking gear off, when they entered lobby with gear on. Might as well just say they are there to leach. It would be better if they just come in lobby and ready up with no gear.  I can't help that this bothers me so much.

People ready up with fewer than 4 players more often I'm showing BOTB. As far as consumables go, I generally see people add them when they notice I show up prepared.

What really surprises me is when you get random friend requests while playing on PC from people you can't talk to. Always felt kinda fun to play so well with some random people that they want to friend you, all without any verbal means of communication. (Yay mute-master-race.)

I use the operator banner and haven’t encountered this odd behavior. Although I have noticed several times that if at least two players equip then the other two have a tendency to also equip.

I think I might alternate by banners just to see what happens.

Im not really convinced it's got anything to do with banners, but more to do with N7 level and challenge points.  It's not a all the time thing but it's happened to my friends and I 4-5 times in the last year.

My N7/CP isn't high enough to cause unequip, I've never seen hat happen. As from the other side: I always search quick games with equipment pre-loaded (in case I get dropped straight into game), but if I get into a lobby, I might change loadout depending on settings and team, and will un-equip consumables only if I suspect a missile glitcher based on the its loadout.

BTW, just because someone has the BOTB, doesn't mean s/h/it can carry you...
I have recently dropped into a lobby where everybody else had the BOTB (except me) and I still ended up doing the lion share of the work (capping devices, carrying pizza, reviving, scoring top) using a salarian engineer with an Eagle.

I rock the lone wolf banner almost exclusively ever since I earned it, But I'm unsure as to if pugs see me and unequip or not, Usually its me and a friend playing with Pugs so I don't care if they equip up or not since he and I can hold a gold match up alone, but if they have them on and unequip yeah I would get annoyed
