I want to bring my sleazy old-school psychopatch blackguard from NWN into NWN2 but I can't figure out how to do it. The game does not accomidate this without, evidentally, some tweaking.

Remember, NWN uses 3.0 rules, and NWN2 3.5. Though a lot of the generic items are the same, some basic weapon types just weren't implemented in NWN2. The best you could do is download a leveller mod and rebuild your character from scratch in NWN2.

Ah, that's too bad. The 3D modelling is different, too. And I used a custom portait--blood-spattered clown. It obviously wouldnt've rendered Sleazy Rhyder's face in 3D correctly.

In case you didn't know, you can use custom portraits in NWN2.

Put a TGA file in Documents/NWN2/portraits (or something like that).
Open character sheet. Double-click 3D portrait. You should get a window with any custom portraits installed in Documents/NWN2/portraits. Click on your custom portrait.

Thankfully this thread is not too old.

Download Vordan's Hero Creator from the NWVault, install it per the instructions and then recreate your character as you wanted him and give him the appropriate items.
Though, keep in mind that NwN2 has some differences from NwN1. Some classes are different and some are weaker or stronger now.

Though, to be honest, there's not much point to it. Many modules or the campaigns are made for too high level characters and even MotB has you start at level 18, so much higher than that (like 28 at the end of Hordes of the Underdark), it would make the campaign way too easy.

What I would suggest, is creating your character more or less how you want him for MotB and enjoy the campaign, since you can make some very evil choices, there.
