Matter of fact, All the Juggernaut is really lacking is Speed.
Yet speed doesn't matter in his kits case.
And i'll stick with that.

Hes the ultimate crowd controller, Ultimateeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee tank, only thing he's lacking is speed.

Funny how if he was as fast as other characters or had a sprint, People would regard him much higher than they do here.

-_-

Nice edit, guy.

Thank you, After all, I Realized there was no fixing that guys post, Since it was so dead wrong.

I don't want to say "underrated" because that would imply people think he's bad. But I will say the MQI is one of the most overlooked classes in the game, in that people don't see his full potential.

People think he's just another infiltrator. This couldn't be further from the truth. Thanks to Tac Scan cloak cancelling, he can cycle his cloak faster than any other infiltrator by a fair margin, making him exceptionally good with single-shot weapons. Built right, he can put out higher DPS with the javelin than a GI due to rate of fire overruling the loss of geth bonuses.

Add in arc grenades, one of the best crowd-handling weapons out there, and the fact that his constant tac scan spamming gives everybody geth vision for free, and he's among the top end of infiltrators.

wat

i thought everyone liked mqi
he is just too ez to play. cloak>spam nades>win

I rarely ever see MQI, if you look at the recent gameplay stats sticky he's not even in the top fifteen.  Ad it's not because he's too easy, that never stopped people from whoring any of the other OP stuff back before they got toned down.

To say all he does is cloak and spam nades is again another example of overlooking a lot of his potential.  I'd go so far as to say even if you took the grenades out altogether, he'd still be on the more powerful end of infiltrators.  Easily the best infiltrator to use a Widow or Javelin.

One of the more powerful? Yes. But he can't compare to a Widow or Javelin GI.

Javelin, there are tradeoffs, you could go either way.  Widow, the MQI easily comes out on top, the GI does a measly extra couple hundred damage per shot.  The MQI has 1-1.5 sec less on his cloak cycle, and thus gets off a lot more shots.  He comes out way ahead on dps and kill rate.  If you add in equipment and ammo, he comes out even further ahead.

There were many threads on her, how she is the best engineer/awsomesauce kit/ claymore quarian etc..which never clicked on me

If there ever was such a thread, I must've missed it. She's got two powers that are almost universally considered amongst the worst by a majority of people here, and she is treated as such unfortunately.

There are only a handful of us who actually like her, and I've never seen any hyperbole from any of us on her behalf.

I have seen some people rating her higher than the paladin sentinel, though not necessarily from BSN...

@kroganerrant i said the collector when played like an adept as generally people tend to say that he is better of being played like a soldier than an adept and their reasoning being weak BEs....I have rarely seen talons and even more rare, the ones who use arrows in plat and gold....the few talons i come across usually spam mines and die

Of course, a good player playing a Juggernaut will always be able to dish out more damage than a new player using another kit, so the fact that you had your fastest pugs with 3 Juggies on the team just means that you happened to bump into the best pugs you've met when they were using Juggies. Nothing strange there. But if those players were to play 3 different characters, among any of the others, chances are that the game would have been quite faster.
I disagree with a lot of things you said, but the bulk of that paragraph most of all.

Your suggestion that the simplest explanation is that I "got lucky" with the "best pugs you've met" is "nothing strange" is silly. You are familiar with Occam's razor. The simplest explanation is that there's nothing wrong with the Juggernaut, and that you have a confirmation bias.

For the first few months, the Juggernaut was new, and people loved and hated it for a lot of reasons, most of them reflective of ignorance of how the kit fit in, role-wise, and how its powers could be used offensively. In the months since then, most of us have worked out that the kit is extremely powerful and versatile, and the many ways that it is. Look back at the threads from the first few months of ME 3 MP, and see what some of the most knowledgable players were saying about the kits back then - they were somewhat clueless about how they really worked, because it takes time for the knowledge base to expand - but it did expand, and when it comes to the Juggy, you got left behind.

In any case, my issue was with you telling people who made legitimite points about the Juggernaut's strengths that they need to "L2P." There were plenty of valid statements that you simply dismissed. I know that it's commonplace for people to do that around here, but I don't ignore it if the person that does it is actually intelligent, because I assume that I can get that person to actually listen.

Which is why I called you on it. Do with it what you will.
Thank you Jery, I appreciate that :)

I see what your issue was, and I understand it.

I'd like to tell you why I simply said "l2play" to those I did. It is not because I like to abuse of that way of saying to show how good I am at this game, as some people do instead. I hope that after a year and a half on bsn, that much has been shown :?

It is, on the other hand, because I recognize the behaviour of people who will not listen to any advice other people are giving, no matter how much they put it in the right way. I don't know about you, but the only reaction this causes in me is that I want to end the conversation as soon as possible. Which is usually achieved by writing "l2play" and then walk away. It's kind of saying "I really really really don't agree with this" and then walk away, but it's something bsners will get better I guess :?

As you can see, they both were so kind to confirm my suspects later, so that I actually ended up with no sense of guilt whatsoever:
Chief Capo wrote...

Sorry, Geth Turret.
OT:
Overrated: Geth Juggernaut. It's outsurvived by Infiltrators, Vanguards, Krogans, Batarians and Volus . . .
So you're writing that a character which has:

 • The highest health and shield ratings in the MP game
 • A melee power that concurrently rechanges shields
 • A shield power that can be upgraded to be the size of an Atlas along with having the ability to also disable and damage enemies when passing through it
 • Immunity to sync kills
 • Immunity to stun
 • An offensive power that can be evolved to provide damage protection
 • A turret which can be evolved to provide shield bonuses to teammates
 • A Hardened Platform evolution that can buff the damage of teammates
. . . is the one with a lesser rate of survivability than the ones you mentioned? [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/lol.png[/smilie]

But the enjoyment in watching players freak out when they mistake your deep-red colored siege-pulse spamming juggernaut for a prime is priceless. I'd play a juggernaut for that sole reason. [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/grin.png[/smilie]

I've even had a game when a pug used a missile on me in a plat game vs. geth. So much win!

Overrated: Can't think of one at the moment.

Underrated: Turian Saboteur and Vorcha Hunter. I love the Saboteur, he's one of my many go to characters for Cerberus. The Hunter is another excellent engineer, his powers may seem odd at first but once you get the build you want and are comfortable with, he's pretty good.

Best/favorite characters: Talon GI (never really got around to playing with him until recently and I'm having a ton of fun), Huntress, Collector Adept (if played like an adept, he may have weak BEs but at least he can get multiple explosions off in succession before having to recast the swarms, that's the tradeoff. 1500 N of force on DS ftw!), Pheonix Adept (the one pheonix I like out of the two), Valkyrie, Warlord, both salarians, and all male quarians.

Overused is definitely anything with a Flamer and an Acolyte X. It works but it's overused. Underrated has to be the Talon Mercenary. If you know how to build his Cairn Trip Mine and know how to use him, that's almost a cheat on Platinum. My favorite is either that, the Alliance Infiltration Unit, Krogan Shaman, and the Asari Justicar. I'd say Krogan Warlord, but not being able to get into cover bites.

The warlord being able to get into cover is similar to the Harrier having more ammo..

They'd be super OP lol

Cause the Warlords sprint is pretty fast,(Assuming you put an andreline module on it, even if you don't its still decent)not to mention if you use his light melee, it can get you out of certain situations easily (Since it makes him move quicker)

Cover on him, would make him super stronk.
