I saw another post about this same topic. The guy was falling outside of the Drone Objective and he heard someone say "Mind The Objective" in his headphones.
So, either you are hearing voices in your head (seek medical attention), or you mic is turned on and nobody has been using a microphone until now.

Yeah lol I play on pc. The place is like a monastary; nobody ever talks.
In some of my PUG games people will start talking if someone breaks the ice with a thank you comment or "theres a turret on the LZ." Occassionally you get people who are casual and enjoy a laugh/chat in game.
Nothing worse than some clown ordering people around, yelling or giving others unnecessary advice.
Then there are the players who have there mic always on so you can hear them chatting to family, or the TV in the background or coughing etc.
This is when you actually appreciate how good it is that players are generally quiet on PC

Also, I think that most people playing with PC headphones don't have a mic. I assume that the consoles come with the mic installed.

A: I was rocking my Volus Engineer in a Glacier/Reaper/Ithinkgoldmaybeplatinum? months ago. Some guy went "This is the most aggressive volus I've ever seen." while I was rolling around a brute/banshee combo having s'hitloads of fun. Later on in wave 8 or 9 I went down and a girl who had been talking a bit went "OH NO! Someone go res him, he's my volus hero!".
B: Was drunkfaced and high as a kite one night, got dropped in a Geth/Gold/Reactor on my Kroguard. Some guy saw me survive something I really shouldn't have offhost involving many angry primes and their friends, all I hear is "Jeezuz" and I look down and the guy was just standing there watching me. I laughed and headbutted in his general direction.
I hear thank you's every so often, but I never really expect to hear anything on the PC. Only time I won't try to res someone is if it's going to get them sync-killed and I can't get them out of it, or if they are being scorew'horing-tards during an escort and I'm secretly hoping they die. (Which they often thankfully do.)

Especially when you've got 3x their score as they seem to spend most of the game in spectator mode after doing something stupid too far away from anyone else to be revived before they're stomped.
Thankfully, on PC, I've only experienced this phenomenon twice since launch.
Had someone shout to "USE A ROCKET" the other day when everyone else had managed to get themselves killed in a little cluster. I suspect one person went down then someone tried to run but the "one button to rule them all" decided they'd be better off attempting to revive that fallen team-mate next to the Praetorian, rather than running away.
Possibly much the same on the third, dunno, I was a little way away actually escorting the drone.

Still hear it from time to time in pugs - a little politeness goes a long way.

I don't think I have ever heard "SURPRISE BUTTSECHS" used as a battle cry before.
He's like the Bruce Campbell of Mass Effect. Here's a guy who is really enjoying the game, and that's cool. I don't know if I could deal with all that chatter on a regular basis, but damn, that video was hilarious.

He reminded me of Chef Ramsey except that he didnt really have much skill himself.
I think if i could use my mic tho i would pull out some voice acting skills and just pretend to be the race of whatever kit im useing.

These are awful, especially the ones who play random terrible music over top of the game, or the ones who's mics refeed the game sounds
