On the TSent, AA, HSent when I don't feel like using an SMG.

It's a great long range pistol with good punch for its weight. Not the greatest on bosses due to the slow RoF but it still does work IMO.

Carnifex was the caster pistol I used while waiting to unlock the Paladin. And it took so long to unlock the paladin that I realized one day, "Hey, I'm pretty damn good with this Carnifex..." Even after unlocking the Paladin, I still stuck with the Carnifex for a long time.

But yeah, I haven't used the Carnifex since I started playing the game again.

It's surpassed on both power and accuracy by the Arc Pistol, in utility by the Acolyte and in a lot by the Talon.
Personally, I cannot see a use for it, what with other pistols does the same job but better.
Also, I unlocked it way after I already had most other pistols, so I never got used to it.

Sure, quite a bit, especially since the Heavy Barrel mod came out. The HB and drill rounds and you can plink baddies all day with six rounds.

Sure I still use it, but not very often. I have the 4 UR pistols maxed so I use them along with the Arc and Executioner the most. But the carnifex is still a quality gun and I roll it out every so often and get all nostalgic.

Carnifex was the only pistol that hit the sweet spot between rarity, accuracy, ammo, weight and power. It was ideal for casters, but not too great. So Biower has said - let's nerf it and buff the other ones like the Talon and Arc to be stupid powerful and make the Carnifex look laughable in comparison.

I remember when I was first starting and couldn't get any decent weapons to unlock.  The Carnifex was my best friend.  I used it on seemingly every class for what seemed like forever.  Fortunately, I unlocked some better options before Bioware hit it with the nerf hammer because too many people were using it.

I think I have one kit where I wanted a solid headshot pistol but also wanted to shave a tad off my cooldown from the Paladin. Other than that I tend to stick with the Paladin in those cases.
