Thanks, I was really late to this party so I have no idea (nor do I care) about the internal politics. 
 
I'm one of the people who got pulled kicking and screaming into multiplayer so I could get the "good" ending (spoiler alert... there isn't a "good" ending). Based on my experience, the Powerstream2500 channel was one of more helpful ones for a scrub like me. Of course, there are some other good channels. But, too many of the channels lack commentary. 

O.k., we are done here (don't want the thread locked off). I am going to go grab my Carnifex and play a Gold game for old times sake.

The carnifex fits that niche of guns that I can just about tolerate to use when I'm doing a challenge. Otherwise, it would never see the light of day.
Of course, it works as a way to nerf yourself!

I prefer the phalanx with the heavy barrel. Nearly the same damage, more reserve ammo, better fire rate, lower recoil, and a bigger mag. The weight is pretty comparable too.

Like the general concensus (hell I sound like a Geth) the Carniflex is good but the Paladin does everything it does & more. So poor old Carniflex is pretty much redundant once you get Paladin at a high enough level. I will still dig it out with the Asari Adept or something like that to repeat pistol mastery though.

I'd rather use the M-11 suppressor. Feels better than the carnifex' at the 'popping heads' niche.
