Elves try to go to war against humans in a large rebellion only to lose and face worse prejudice than before.

As far as the Dalish go, I don't see any other outcome. Their numbers are far too few, and elves are the frailest race in Thedas. The only way they could have any chance of claiming a home for themselves is if the Inquisitor and the entirety of the Inquisition helps them directly.

Or they and the city elves could sell their souls to the Qun and lose their culture in the process.

Or they could just...ya know, leave.

Is there even place in thedas that isn't settled and have conditions that are possible to survive?I as far renember only cold lands or some kind wastelands.

I'm actually kind of curious about what it is you have against elves.

Dalish =/= Elves.

But what lies beyond those cold lands or wastelands? Could be a promised land filled with people the dalish can actually manage to beat in a fight.

Besides, this obssession with a single geographic location is foolhardy at best. All those hundreds of years they could have spent exploring thedas and the unknown regions of the map, and they instead choose to ride around and feel sorry for themselves.

Nothing wrong with living the life of a nomad. Nothing wrong with finding a new place to live. There is something wrong though with not putting effort into anything but the past.

Don't see what makes going south of fereldan through the kocari wilds such a bad option all these years.

FBI profilers have names for those who enjoy killing.

Well no one was able to further into lands behind kocari wilds because of very cold lands that even most eager explorers couldn't handle i renember that was somewhere in codex so it would be suicide.About other i don't know but they may be unpleasant as well in Anderfels for example we have empty lands corrupted by darkspawn.

Well if it is nothing wrong with living the life of a nomand well dalish say that isn't such easy life and i guess that is one of reasons that elves in city don't want go to dalish elves and another is that in cities dalish elves have reputation of brutal savages (leliana and CE origin).I don't think that traveling around world it is something that many peoples would do humans or not and i don't think we can speak about that because neither i and probably never did that.:P

Darth is a definite case. Rotfl. Thread goes from empathy for elves to genocide against them. Typical of the BSN.

Oh I have empathy, just not for the dalish elves. They bring everyone, including city elves, down.

How

They do not maintain contact with each other and i don't say that they are in good relationship because city elves think that dalish elves are savages and dalish elves think that other side are domesticated by humans elves for time to time one elf will go to other but rather not ver common. And aren't that city elves who went rebel?

For the Dalish elves to get a break... something has to be done about the Chantry and their Templars.

I don't see the elves having a permanent homeland unless the Chantry can be contained.

darth has his own ideas. I admit irritation with the lets kill everything crowd, but I feel they'll come to the bsn angry about the consequences . When that happens we can say we told you so. Best if they experience it for themselves since they won't listen and not get upset about it.

I fully embrace the consequence of failing to get the best ending, losing my love interest, and watching my friends be killed because apparently this one miniscule and non-important dalish clan was the key to saving everything.  <_<

Get over yourself wolves, and stop using me as the posterboy for your crap already, when you know there are bigger advocates in this race then me.

Every time a dalish kills a human, all elves get blamed, not just the dalish. And they do that a lot to earn their reputation as dangerous wanders who kill people who come too close to their camp.

City elves have their own issues to deal with already without the dalish throwing their baggage onto them. And their rebellion may very well have merrit seeing as how the alienages can be and how they can be treated. But a reformed society with elves and humans as equals is much better to the pro-elf anti-human ethno-centric policies of the dalish.

What about all the times humans kill or rape them? Shems are horrible to city elves even when they are not upset at the dalish.

Oh sure, an entire race being volated is  sure nothing to complain about. It's not that we blow up a chantry over it.

Dalish origin shows a very different tale though, one of rationalized murder out of petty revenge. Zatharin unleashed a hellish plague onto the world out of such petty vengeance as well, even hundreds of years later against people he never even knew or met before.

Frankly, the dalish with their sense self-righteous moral relativism allowing them to "justify" having a more ruthless mentality then the supposedly evil humans they pick fight against.

To be quite honest there is probably more to the story than what the dalish are letting on.

How are the Dalish at fault for human stupidity and racism?

If someone regards an entire race negatively because of an encounter they had with an individual (or even several individuals) of that race, then that person is an ignorant bigot, plain and simple.

Because one Dalish = Every Dalish right? Also the Dalish didn't know about Zathrians curse.

Your accusations are pretty flimsy.
