In a previous thread (the name of which I've forgotten) One of the writers commented and said something like ' we might not recognize some Specializations' . Which I think would be pretty cool, a change to that game mechanic could have some very interesting results. I'd like to see the Specializations be available without points and instead allow you to pick spells from them regardless. Would give you a much greater range of options to choose from when levelling up a character. And Instead of flat bonuses for picking a specialization, maybe a % buff based on the number of points you've invested? Anyone else have any changes they think would be cool/useful?

Given that specialization choice will be recognized by NPCs outside of combat, this is probably not going to happen.

This way might actually have a positive effect on the npc recognition, if you think about it. The more points dedicated to a certain specialization, the more obvious it is to NPC's around you. At certain thresholds, it could even affect some cutscenes or companion dialogue. (Just snowballing here, trying to think of some ways this would work)
